Overview

Businesses can issue digital programs built around stamps, points, discounts and other incentives. Customers earn and redeem rewards without downloading a customer app, and can save loyalty cards to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. That lowers the app-install hurdle, while keeping the customer experience centered on a digital card rather than a dedicated app.

Meed offers two distinct earning routes beyond staff-issued stamps. Customers can scan receipts in the web app, where AI reads and verifies them; the company says this needs no POS integration. Or customers can scan a QR code or tap NFC at arrival to earn a stamp without staff interaction or extra hardware. The latter is convenient for self-service visits, but businesses that need POS integration should look elsewhere.

Key features

Flexible ways to earn

Businesses can configure 10- or 20-stamp cards and choose points on the card for milestone rewards. Those rewards are added automatically to the customer's Apple or Google Wallet card. Receipt scanning provides another route for purchases, while QR and NFC check-ins fit visit-based rewards. Together these options make meed relevant to both purchase- and attendance-led businesses, though the published feature set does not describe POS-connected earning.

Program management

The business portal covers programs, memberships, venue performance, campaigns and analytics on rewards earned and redeemed. Operators can also use the meed for Business app to issue stamps and confirm redemptions. Automated campaigns and a referral program are supported. The portal and operator app give businesses separate tools for oversight and day-to-day reward handling.

Privacy option

Meed says its anonymised loyalty feature separates activity data from personal identity, allowing businesses to examine behavioral patterns without seeing customer identity. That may suit operators who want to understand engagement while limiting access to identifiable customer information.

Pricing

Meed has a free plan and a Pro plan. The free offer is shown as 0.00 USD per free, requires no credit card and is capped at 50 members. Once the cap is reached, new members remain pending until the business upgrades. That makes the free plan useful for a small trial, but the pending queue makes it unsuitable as a lasting plan for a growing customer base.

Pro is billed at $59 per month and includes unlimited members and two locations; additional locations cost $39 each. A separate Pro Plan offer states $59/month or $590/year and includes custom push notifications alongside the same member and location terms. For a business with multiple venues, the included two locations are useful, but each additional site raises the recurring cost. The annual price is lower than twelve monthly payments, though the offer does not state a renewal term.

The Free Plan is also described as having no hardware and no customer app. That aligns with meed's phone-based web experience, but the free plan's 50-member cap is its clearest practical constraint. Pro is the more suitable choice for businesses that need unlimited membership or custom push notifications; the lower-cost plan gives up scale and, in the separate plan description, custom notifications.

Platforms

Meed is available on Android, iOS and the web. Customers can use the web app and save cards to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet; operators can use the business app through the App Store or Google Play. Its Hong Kong-incorporated company lists a registered office in Kwun Tong, Kowloon.

Who it's for

Meed is a sensible match for cafés, salons, gyms, bars, clinics and shops that want stamp-based or visit-based loyalty without requiring a customer app or POS integration. It is less suitable for businesses that need POS-connected workflows, or that expect a free program to grow beyond 50 members.

Pros and cons

Several ways to earn: receipt scans, QR/NFC check-ins and operator-issued stamps let businesses choose a workflow suited to purchases or visits.
No customer app download: customers can use the web experience and save cards to Apple or Google Wallet, avoiding an installation requirement.
Clear scaling step: Pro removes the member cap and includes two locations, but adds a $59 monthly bill and $39 for each additional location.
Free-plan bottleneck: at 50 members, new joiners are held pending until upgrade, so the free tier can interrupt enrollment just as a program gains traction.
No POS integration: receipt verification does not require integration, but businesses seeking a connected POS workflow will need another product.

Alternatives

For e-commerce stores, LoyaltyLion is worth considering: its free plan is recommended for stores processing 400 orders or fewer per month, and it offers API and web platforms. Smile.io is another web and API option; its free plan includes 200 monthly orders, specialized reports, points and referrals, and discount or free-shipping rewards.

Yotpo Loyalty offers a free plan with a basic points campaign, referrals, program-awareness tools and Support Center tutorials, making it an option for businesses seeking those elements in a web/API product. For enterprise-ready SaaS, Annex Cloud Loyalty Experience Platform uses custom pricing and supports Android, iOS, web and API.

Thanx uses quote-based pricing tied to restaurant count, average unit volume and platform capabilities, and is offered to companies in the USA and Canada. TrueLoyal offers custom quotes after a demo, with no fixed tiers and plans tailored to goals, scale and integrations. Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service is a paid retail point-of-service option with no public price and a demo request route.

Verdict

Choose meed if your business wants app-free customer loyalty with wallet cards and flexible receipt or visit-based rewards, and its $59 monthly Pro plan fits your membership and location needs. Look elsewhere if POS integration is essential, or if you need a free program that can keep accepting members beyond 50.
