Overview

Orders from the booking site, phone calls entered by staff and walk-ins feed into one queue. That gives counter staff and dispatchers a common place to work from as orders move toward delivery. Numus is designed for delivery business owners, dispatchers, riders and counter staff, including teams on low-bandwidth networks.

The workflow covers dispatch, customer updates, proof of delivery and payment. Teams that depend on WhatsApp Business for order intake should look elsewhere for now: WhatsApp ordering is in development, with no release date announced, and is not currently part of Numus.

Key features

Dispatchers can check driver availability, assign jobs and send route and customer details to drivers’ phones. This links the dispatch decision to the information riders need to complete a job, which is useful when several staff members share responsibility for getting orders out.

The fleet map refreshes every ten seconds, and customers can follow an order through a public link without signing in or installing an app. That makes progress easy to share with customers, though a ten-second refresh is not a continuous live feed. The fleet map uses OpenStreetMap; driver navigation opens Google Maps or Apple Maps.

Drivers record proof of delivery with a one-time code. The resulting order timeline is timestamped and described as immutable, giving the team a record of completion. Paystack handles card, bank transfer, USSD and mobile-money payments, while cash collected by riders is logged and included in daily reports. This combination suits businesses handling both electronic payment and cash at the door.

Staff logins include roles and activity logging, while in-app team chat has push notifications and message history. Numus also offers Business Suite and Driver apps for iOS and Android, which it says are free on the App Store and Google Play. Support is available at hello@numusapp.com; Scale adds priority support with a dedicated customer success manager.

Pricing

Numus uses a freemium model. The Free plan is free, is billed forever and requires no card. It includes 10 orders a month, 1 driver and 5 routes, plus live tracking, proof of delivery and email notifications. That is enough to try a small workflow, but the order and driver ceilings are restrictive for a team handling regular volume.

Starter costs 15000.00 USD per month (billed ₦45,000 quarterly). It raises capacity to 300 orders a month, 5 drivers and 30 routes, and adds a booking site and cash on delivery. Its 1 team member limit makes this tier a fit for a small operation with a single staff login, rather than a team that needs shared access.

Growth costs 39000.00 USD per month (billed ₦117,000 quarterly). The allowance rises to 2,000 orders a month, 40 drivers and 5 team members; it also includes a custom domain, white-labeling, Paystack card payments and assisted onboarding. It is the more suitable step for a growing fleet or a business that needs its customer-facing service under its own brand.

Scale costs 95000.00 NGN per month (billed ₦285,000 quarterly). It allows 6,000 orders a month, 150 drivers, 600 routes and 50 team members, with priority support and a dedicated customer success manager. Teams nearing those limits or needing unlimited volume can consider Enterprise, which has custom pricing and unlimited volume, drivers, routes and team members.

Platforms

Numus supports Android, iOS, web and API access. The Business Suite and Driver apps cover both major mobile platforms, while the web option and API access give teams additional ways to work with the service.

Who it's for

Numus is a sensible fit for delivery businesses that bring orders in through several channels and need dispatch, customer tracking and delivery confirmation in one operating flow. Its shared queue, staff roles and chat are relevant to teams with counter staff, dispatchers and riders; the low-bandwidth focus may also suit teams working with less reliable connections.

It is less compelling for businesses whose order workflow depends on WhatsApp Business, since that capability is not yet available. Very small teams can begin on Free, but operations with more than 10 monthly orders or one driver will need to move to a paid tier.

Pros and cons

Pros: Orders from the booking site, phone and walk-ins share one queue, reducing channel handoffs for dispatch teams.
Pros: Customers can track delivery through a link without an account or app, and proof of delivery is tied to a timestamped order timeline.
Pros: Paystack payment options and logged cash collections cover both electronic payments and cash-on-delivery workflows.
Cons: WhatsApp Business ordering is still in development and has no announced release date, so teams relying on it need another intake method.
Cons: Free is capped at 10 orders a month and 1 driver, limiting its usefulness once a delivery operation is active.
Cons: Starter permits only 1 team member, which constrains the shared staff workflow that may attract teams to Numus.

Alternatives

RutaLive is worth considering for teams comparing free capacity: its Free plan includes 1 operator, 2 couriers and 150 orders a month, compared with Numus's 10 orders and 1 driver. Its listed platforms also include Windows.

InstaDispatch may suit readers who want to compare another freemium delivery product with a free trial. QuickE is another freemium option with a free trial, and its free plan includes order management and dispatch, a driver app with proof of delivery, a customer tracking page and email notifications.

For a paid product with custom enterprise deployment pricing, consider Locus Last-Mile Delivery Software. Datatrac, DispatchTrack and FarEye Last Mile are paid alternatives; FarEye Last Mile directs prospective customers to contact the company for a meeting. FinalMileOS is another paid option.

Readers comparing the wider category can browse Courier Management Software and Delivery Management Software.

Verdict

Choose Numus if your delivery operation needs one queue for orders, practical driver dispatch, customer tracking and a recorded proof of delivery. The Free plan offers a low-commitment start, but its 10-order and 1-driver limits make it a fit only for very small volumes; teams that need more capacity should compare the paid tiers against their staffing needs. Look elsewhere if WhatsApp Business ordering is central to your workflow today.
