Overview

Cordango Purchase Requests is a purchasing workflow app for teams that need requests routed by amount and connected to budget commitments. It is best suited to organizations using Cordango’s budget tools; the chief caveat is that the published GDPR agreement is a draft, so request the signed version before relying on it.

Key features

Requests can include line items, supplier quotes and the budget line to charge. Smaller purchases can stop with a manager, while larger ones can go to finance and management, and requesters cannot approve their own requests. That combination gives teams a practical approval structure without requiring every purchase to reach senior finance.

The app keeps the approval decision trail and records actual purchase cost alongside the estimate, giving finance teams a record of what was approved and what it ultimately cost. Budget & Spend Tracker installs alongside Purchase Requests and records approved commitments against budget lines, making the workflow more useful for teams that want budget commitments tied to requests rather than managed separately.

Optional companions extend the process: Asset Register can receive purchased hardware, and Vendor & SaaS Management can start a draft request when a vendor is approved. These connections are a strength for teams adopting Cordango’s related apps, but less compelling for buyers seeking a standalone requisition form.

Cordango says its platform includes single sign-on, roles, permissions and a shared audit trail, with permissions enforced on every read and write. It also says the platform is built and hosted in Germany on EU infrastructure. The published data processing agreement is marked as a nonbinding draft; customers should request the signed version before relying on its terms. Support messages reach the product builders, and existing users can use Discord for problems.

Pricing

Purchase Requests is a paid app with pricing on request, and Cordango’s Company plans require at least five people. The Solo plan costs 0.00 EUR per free, billed Free forever, with no card or end date; it is for one person and includes 500 credits a month. That makes it suitable for an individual exploring Cordango, but not a team deployment.

Company monthly costs 49.00 EUR per month, billed per person from a minimum of five people. Company yearly costs 441.00 EUR per year, billed once a year at €36.75 a month, also per person from five. The yearly rate lowers the monthly equivalent but requires annual payment; the five-person minimum makes either Company option a larger commitment than an individual plan. The pricing page does not state a trial duration.

The Perpetual license has custom pricing, requires payment three years in advance, and offers self-hosting from day one with permanent capacity. It may suit organizations prioritizing self-hosting, but the upfront term and negotiated price call for a direct comparison with the recurring Company plans. Cordango lists Purchase Requests as an official app, version 0.4.0, with sample data.

Platforms

Purchase Requests is available on web, API and self-hosted deployments. Those options accommodate browser-based use, API-connected workflows or organizations that prefer to host it themselves.

Who it's for

Finance teams and managers are the clearest fit: amount-based escalation, separation between requester and approver, and budget commitments address core purchasing controls. It can also suit broader teams submitting requests, especially where actual costs and estimates need to remain tied to the approval trail. Buyers wanting a standalone form without Cordango’s budget companion may find its connected design less useful.

Pros and cons

Pro: Approval routing by amount and the ban on self-approval provide meaningful separation of duties.
Pro: Approval history, estimates and actual purchase costs stay connected, while approved commitments are recorded against budget lines.
Pro: Web, API and self-hosted availability gives organizations multiple deployment approaches.
Con: The published GDPR agreement is not contractually binding; customers need the signed version before relying on it.
Con: Company plans start at five people, and the app’s price is on request, so cost may be harder to assess for smaller teams.
Con: Budget & Spend Tracker installs alongside the app, making it a weaker fit for buyers who want an isolated request tool.

Verdict

Choose Cordango Purchase Requests if your finance or management team wants amount-based approvals tied to budget commitments, decision history and actual costs, particularly within Cordango’s connected apps.
