Overview

Configurable cycles bring promotions, salary changes, bonuses, and equity grants into a shared planning process. Salary review and approval workflows, budget controls, compensation bands, and an audit trail can help teams manage decisions with clearer oversight. Formal pay ranges are optional for cycles, which gives teams flexibility, though organizations that want every decision tied to established bands will need to create and maintain those ranges.

Employee dashboards can combine salary, bonuses, variable compensation, equity, benefits, and other employer-provided rewards when the underlying data is available. This offers a broader view than salary alone, but the dashboard cannot fill gaps in employer data. Pay ranges can be managed centrally and shared selectively according to permissions.

Key features

Analytics and AI

Analytics cover pay equity, demographic segments, promotion rates, and market-position distributions. These views can help compensation teams examine outcomes across more than one dimension, rather than treating a cycle as a collection of individual recommendations. AI features include compensation data insights, job matching across data sources, and personalized coaching for managers. The coaching may be useful where managers need guidance during reviews, while job matching can help connect roles to benchmark data.

Integrations and implementation

Listed integrations include Rippling, BambooHR, Paylocity, Paycor, ADP Marketplace, 15Five, Klaar, Culture Amp, Salary.com, Mercer, Carta, and Shareworks. HRIS integrations typically sync daily, with options to pause syncing or run it on demand; available fields depend on the HRIS. That flexibility supports routine data maintenance, but teams should confirm their systems expose the fields they need.

Most implementations take two to four weeks, though some customers go live in a few days. A standard implementation fee may apply and can often be waived. The company says it typically provides annual agreements with high-touch support and direct access to implementation and support teams, which may suit teams that want help through rollout rather than a self-serve setup. It also says the platform complies with SOC 2, GDPR, and CCPA and supports SAML-based single sign-on options.

Pricing

Startup compensation benchmarking data

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and provides access to the full anonymized dataset after contributing compensation data through the survey. It is a focused option for teams seeking benchmark data, not a substitute for the compensation management plan's planning and workflow tools.

Compensation management

The annual compensation management plan has custom pricing, calculated per employee per month and based on total employee count. Headcount changes are prorated, and an implementation fee may apply but can often be waived. Teams should request a quote to assess the annual commitment against their headcount and rollout needs.

Platforms

Comprehensive is available on the web. Its HRIS integrations typically sync daily, with pausing and on-demand sync options, although field coverage varies by HRIS.

Who it's for

Comprehensive can serve teams from a single compensation practitioner to larger organizations. It is most compelling for teams that need coordinated compensation cycles, rewards communication, and outcome analysis in one platform, particularly when managers need coaching and teams want direct implementation support. Organizations with highly niche or hybrid roles should weigh the possibility of blended benchmarks or internal calibration before relying on market comparisons.

Pros and cons

Pros: Configurable cycles cover promotions, salary changes, bonuses, and equity grants, with approvals, budget controls, and an audit trail to support governed decisions.
Pros: Analytics span pay equity, demographics, promotion rates, and market position, while dashboards can bring multiple reward types together when data is available.
Pros: Daily, paused, or on-demand HRIS syncing and a broad set of listed integrations offer useful options for maintaining compensation data.
Cons: Benchmark coverage varies by role and dataset; niche or hybrid jobs may require blended benchmarks or internal calibration.
Cons: The free plan is limited to benchmark dataset access after survey contribution, while compensation management requires an annual custom quote and may carry an implementation fee.
Cons: Dashboard completeness depends on available employer data, and integration fields depend on the HRIS.

Verdict

Comprehensive is a good choice for teams that want compensation planning, rewards communication, benchmarking, and analytics coordinated in one web platform, with manager coaching and implementation support as added strengths. Choose it when its benchmark coverage fits your roles and the annual custom-priced plan suits your budget; look elsewhere if specialized roles make dependable benchmarking the priority or if you need public pricing before engaging.
