Overview

TalentLMS is a learning management system for organizations delivering training to employees, partners, or customers. It suits teams that need distinct learner portals but want administration kept in one place. Its clearest advantage is controlled delegation; its main constraint for small teams is the sharp capacity ceiling on the free plan.

Key features

Separate portals let organizations give different audiences their own training spaces without splitting administration across systems. Group supervisors can organize training and monitor progress without full admin access, a useful boundary for managers who need oversight but should not control the whole platform.

Assessments and certificates cover progress checks and course completion recognition. TalentLibrary offers more than 1,000 ready-made courses, which can shorten the path to a useful course catalogue, though teams with highly specific training needs may still need their own material. HubSpot integration can sync data, automate workflows, and track learner progress; API access supports connections to other tools or custom integrations.

SSO supports SAML 2.0, LDAP, and OpenID Connect. Custom domains include SSL, and the platform identifies GDPR compliance alongside ISO 27001, 9001, 14001, and 45001 certifications. Mobile-friendly access works without installing software; TalentCards is a separate mobile training app for teams on the go.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and has no time limit or credit-card requirement. It allows up to 5 active users and 10 active courses, so it can support a small trial or compact training operation, but not a growing workforce.

Core costs 119.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and supports up to 100 users; its stated user band is 1-40 users. Grow costs 229.00 USD per month, billed monthly, and supports up to 500 users, with a stated 1-70 user band and 5 learning paths. Pro costs 449.00 USD per month, billed monthly, supports up to 1,000 users, and adds users at $6 each; its stated band is 1-100 users and it includes 15 branches. These plans scale the user ceiling, while the published details also distinguish Grow by learning paths and Pro by branches and additional-user pricing.

Enterprise has custom pricing, annual billing, and starts at 1,000 users, with flexible starts at 500. It is the fit for larger deployments that need that capacity and can work with an annual term. Paid plans can use monthly or annual payments, and pricing has no setup fees or hidden costs.

Platforms

TalentLMS is listed with API access, and supports mobile-friendly access without requiring software installation. A mobile app is also available; TalentCards is a separate option designed for teams on the go.

Who it's for

TalentLMS makes the most sense for organizations training multiple audiences that need separate portals, delegated supervisor oversight, and integrations such as HubSpot or an API. Small teams can begin without payment, while organizations that outgrow the five-user free cap can move to paid capacity. It is less compelling for a team that needs only a tiny, fixed training setup, or one unable to accommodate Enterprise's annual-only billing at the upper end.

Pros and cons

Pro: Separate portals and limited supervisor permissions support audience separation without handing every manager full administrative access.
Pro: The indefinite free tier needs no credit card, making a small-scale start possible without a trial deadline.
Pro: SSO options, SSL on custom domains, and API and HubSpot integrations cover identity and connection needs.
Con: Five active users and ten courses on Free make it a narrow option for anything beyond a small team or pilot.
Con: Paid plan capacity and included features vary by tier; Pro charges $6 per additional user, while Enterprise is annual only.

Verdict

Choose TalentLMS if you need one centrally managed system for distinct audiences, with supervisor-level delegation and a no-deadline free starting point. Look elsewhere if the five-user free ceiling is too restrictive, or if the annual Enterprise arrangement does not suit a large rollout.
