Overview

Sidekick can find available times for its users and ask non-users to confirm meeting requests. It also handles follow-through by creating calendar events, sending invitations and issuing reminders. That combination makes it a stronger fit for inbox-based coordination than a tool used only to share booking links.

Forwarding a meeting-request email starts a workflow that checks availability, coordinates with the guest and can book an available time. It is a useful option for people who receive scheduling requests by email, though the service's calendar and contact access deserves consideration before connecting accounts.

Key features

Scheduling pages and meeting formats

Personal and team pages support custom availability, permissions and preferences. Guests can choose from the in-person, video or phone options offered on a page, making the pages adaptable to different meeting types. Hero's three-page cap may be enough for an individual, but people managing several booking contexts will need more pages.

Calendar connections and integrations

The integrations page names Gmail, Google Calendar, Outlook, Outlook Calendar, Thunderbird, Google Meet, Zoom, Teams and Office 365. Sidekick also supports Skype in the Hero plan. The breadth is useful for people working across common calendar and meeting services, while Hero's one-source allowance may prevent using that breadth simultaneously.

Pricing

Hero Plan

Hero is the free plan, with one connected source and three scheduling pages. It includes unlimited scheduled meetings, groups and contacts, plus Google, Outlook and Microsoft 365 and Google Meet, Zoom, Skype and Teams. This suits an individual with one calendar source and a small number of booking pages; the limits are on connected sources and pages, not meeting volume.

Superhero Plan

Superhero costs 5.00 USD per month and adds unlimited sources and calendars, unlimited scheduling pages and Team Pages. It is the clearer fit for people coordinating across multiple calendars or needing team booking pages. Invited team members can join for free by syncing their calendars, so the plan does not require a paid subscription for every participant.

Sidekick Business BETA

Sidekick Business BETA has custom pricing and offers business logo support with a near-white-label scheduling experience. It is aimed at organizations that want their scheduling experience to carry their branding; the published inclusions do not establish broader business features.

A free trial is available. The free plan's caps matter more than meeting volume: users who need multiple sources or more than three pages must move to Superhero, while a single-source user can keep unlimited scheduled meetings on Hero.

Platforms

Sidekick Scheduling is available on Android, iOS and the web. That range suits people who want mobile access as well as browser-based scheduling.

Who it's for

Sidekick is a good match for individuals or teams who coordinate with outside guests, prefer email-based scheduling, or need customizable pages with different meeting formats. It is less compelling for someone who only needs a basic booking page on several calendars without paying, since Hero permits just one connected source.

Privacy-conscious users should note that Sidekick may collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, calendars and calendar events. The company says it uses commercially acceptable safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security. For Zoom, it stores authentication information and Zoom-generated meeting links; users can remove Zoom authentication in preferences. Questions can be sent through a contact form.

Pros and cons

Pros: Unlimited scheduled meetings on Hero make it viable for frequent use without a meeting quota.
Pros: Email forwarding can initiate availability checks and guest coordination, avoiding a booking-link-only workflow.
Pros: Superhero's unlimited sources and pages plus free calendar syncing for invited team members suit expanding teams.
Cons: Hero's one-source and three-page limits restrict users with multiple calendars or booking contexts.
Cons: Scheduling depends on sharing calendar and contact data; Sidekick does not promise absolute security.

Alternatives

Choose Toki if Linux or Windows support matters, or if its free plan's AI scheduling assistant and allowance of up to three calendars better fit your needs. Consider Remeet if its free plan's 15-user limit, weekly sync hour and two weeks of cloud recordings match a team workflow better. Ari is an option for iOS or macOS users who can work within its free allowance of 10 meetings total, one Google and one Microsoft calendar, and one booking page.

Schedly may suit someone who wants a free single-seat setup with one service type, one location and one calendar connection, while keeping unlimited bookings. For browser or extension-based AI email scheduling, Cal Autobot offers a free plan with unlimited email scheduling and a public booking page. Clara is another web option, with a free 14-day, five-meeting plan and customizable preferences.

DayOtter may be preferable for a free web or Android option that includes unlimited event types and booking pages, calendar sync, reminders and group polls. Kronologic is a web-based alternative if a free booking page, Google Calendar connection and two meeting types are enough. Browse AI Scheduling Assistants or Calendar apps for broader options.

Verdict

Choose Sidekick if you want both email-led coordination and customizable scheduling pages, especially when meetings with non-users are routine. Its free plan keeps meeting volume open, but anyone who needs multiple sources or team pages should budget 5.00 USD per month for Superhero. If one-source access is too restrictive and the paid plan is not worthwhile, another scheduling tool may fit better.
