Overview

Bookipi combines invoice creation with estimates, contracts and proposals, and can notify you when a customer views an invoice. Autofill for client details and line items, plus automatic overdue reminders, can reduce routine administration. Recurring invoices and expense tracking are supported, but there is no time tracking; businesses that need to capture billable hours in the same workflow should look elsewhere.

Key features

Customers can pay by credit card or Tap to Pay on iPhone and Android, with Tap to Pay available in select countries. Online payments make the service more useful for businesses collecting remotely, while the country restriction matters for anyone relying on tap payments. Cloud synchronization keeps invoices aligned across web and mobile apps. A Gmail add-on can generate and send invoices from Gmail, a practical fit for users who handle billing from their inbox. Bookipi describes invoice sending and cloud synchronization as secure.

Pricing

Plan	Price	What it means
Free	0.00 USD per free, billed forever	Up to 3 invoices and 3 eSignatures per month, with quotas resetting every 30 days. This works for occasional billing, but regular client work can outgrow the invoice allowance quickly.
Starter	7.60 USD per month or US$91.20, billed annually	Unlimited invoices, but eSignatures remain capped at 3 per month. It removes the Free plan’s invoice ceiling for a relatively low monthly price, but is a poor fit for frequent contract signing.
Professional	39.00 USD per month or US$468.00, billed annually	Unlimited invoices and the same 3 eSignatures per month. The higher price does not raise the published signing allowance, so users choosing it should need more than the Free plan’s invoice quota rather than more eSignatures.

All three plans include responsive chat and email support, video tutorials and self-help guides. The Free plan is the low-risk starting point, while either paid tier makes sense when three monthly invoices are no longer enough; neither solves a need for frequent eSignatures.

Platforms

Bookipi is available on the web, Android and iOS, with an extension also offered. The app supports work across devices, and invoice cloud synchronization connects web and mobile apps.

Who it's for

Freelancers and small businesses that issue recurring or online invoices and also prepare estimates, contracts or proposals can keep several client-document tasks in one service. Solo operators with light billing may be comfortable on Free; businesses sending invoices regularly will need a paid tier. It is less suitable for teams or service providers whose billing depends on built-in time tracking, which Bookipi does not offer.

Pros and cons

Several client documents in one place: Estimates, contracts and proposals sit alongside invoices, reducing the need to separate those document tasks.
Routine billing support: Autofill, invoice-view notifications and automatic overdue reminders help with entry and follow-up.
Useful payment and workflow options: Online payments, recurring invoices, expense tracking, cross-device sync and a Gmail add-on cover common small-business needs.
Strict document quotas: Free allows only 3 invoices per month, and paid plans still limit eSignatures to 3 per month.
No time tracking: Providers billing by hours need another way to record time.

Alternatives

Contractor Invoicing Software is a useful category to browse if you are comparing contractor-focused billing options. Freelance Invoicing Software is the broader comparison for freelancers.

Invoice Ninja: Choose it if a free plan with unlimited invoicing and 5 clients, or a wider range of platform options including self-hosted, matters more than Bookipi’s document mix.
Contractor+: Its free FREEDOM plan includes basic CRM, up to 250 leads and clients, and up to 5 estimates or invoices per month; consider it if lead and client management is central to your workflow.
Zoho Invoice: Its free plan is free for all Indian businesses and supports up to two users, three projects and 500 invoices per year, making it worth considering for Indian businesses with those needs.
Invoice Plus: Its free Basic plan allows 10 invoices per month and includes basic expense tracking and offline use in mobile apps; it may suit users who need offline mobile invoicing.
Invoicely: The free plan allows 5 monthly invoices and 3 saved clients, but is limited to PayPal payments and has no team members; consider it if those limits fit your billing needs.
Just Invoice: Consider it if you want a no-account guest generator for unlimited invoice PDFs and can re-enter business details, clients and line items each time.
Yamate: Consider it if its free plan for one person, with the whole app on a phone and quote and invoice links, better matches your workflow.
Billdr: Consider it if an iOS app with job cards, GST calculation, PDF invoice generation, cloud backup and revenue reports suits your needs.

Verdict

Bookipi is a good fit for freelancers and small businesses that want invoicing, client documents, payment options and routine follow-up in one web-and-mobile service. Its combination of estimates, contracts and proposals is the clearest reason to choose it. Look elsewhere if you need built-in time tracking or more than 3 eSignatures a month, since paid plans keep that cap.
