Overview

Auromine is point-of-sale software for jewellery shops and general retailers, with web and Android access. It suits a shop that can match its counter setup to a tightly tiered plan; the key trade-off is that the free editions cap both invoices and item records.

Barcode scanning, purchase and sales orders, and stock alerts cover several everyday shop and inventory workflows. These capabilities make Auromine relevant to operators who need more than checkout, though the plan allowances—not a broad feature list—are the clearest basis for choosing between tiers.

Auromine is based in Chennai, India, and was founded in 2020. It belongs in Retail Management Software and Inventory Management Software.

Key features

Barcode scanning: Useful for shops that want barcode-based item handling as part of their POS setup.
Purchase and sales orders: Both workflows are supported, making the software relevant to businesses managing buying as well as customer sales.
Stock alerts: A practical inventory-monitoring capability for shops that need alerts around stock.
Web and Android: The platform range includes web and Android, while mobile apps are also listed. The plan tiers distinguish mobile, web, desktop, and user/counter allowances, so buyers should choose around their actual checkout setup.

Pricing

Auromine uses a freemium model and offers a 21-day trial. Plans are billed per shop per year, excluding GST. The free plans cap usage at 30 invoices per month and 200 items; paid tiers remove those caps, but differ by counter type and quantity.

Jewellery POS

Plan	Price	Allowance
Pearl	0.00 INR per free	1 counter, 30 invoices per month, 200 items
Silver	2999.00 INR per year	1 mobile counter, unlimited invoices and items
Gold	3999.00 INR per year	1 web counter, unlimited invoices and items
Platinum	5499.00 INR per year	1 mobile counter and 1 web counter, unlimited invoices and items
Diamond	9999.00 INR per year	5 counters or users, unlimited invoices and items

Pearl is the no-cost starting point for a small jewellery counter that can stay within its monthly invoice and item caps. Silver and Gold each remove those limits for one counter, with the choice determined by mobile versus web. Platinum adds one counter of each type; Diamond is the jewellery tier for a shop needing up to five counters or users.

Retail POS

Plan	Price	Allowance
Free	0.00 INR per free	1 counter, 30 invoices per month, 200 items
Mobile	699.00 INR per year	1 mobile counter, unlimited invoices and items
Desktop	999.00 INR per year	1 desktop counter, unlimited invoices and items
Mobile + Desktop	1499.00 INR per year	1 mobile counter and 1 desktop counter, unlimited invoices and items
5 Users	4999.00 INR per year	5 counters or users, unlimited invoices and items

The free retail tier has the same 30-invoice and 200-item ceiling as Pearl. Mobile at 699.00 INR per year is the lowest-priced paid plan and suits a single mobile counter; Desktop costs 999.00 INR per year for one desktop counter. Mobile + Desktop at 1499.00 INR per year covers one of each, while 5 Users at 4999.00 INR per year is for a larger setup. All paid retail tiers include unlimited invoices and items. Prices exclude GST.

Platforms

Auromine is available on web and Android. Its retail plans name mobile and desktop counters, while the jewellery plans distinguish mobile and web counters. Match the specific plan allowance to the device setup the shop intends to use.

Who it's for

Auromine is best suited to jewellery and retail shops that want a free, capped entry plan or a low-cost annual paid tier with unlimited invoices and items. It is especially straightforward to compare for a one-counter operation, because several paid options differ mainly by counter type. Shops needing multiple counters or users can consider the five-counter/user tiers. Businesses that cannot fit the free caps or the named counter configurations should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros

Two distinct plan families: Separate jewellery and retail tiers give shops a choice aligned with their business category.
Low entry cost for retail: The 699.00 INR per year Mobile plan removes invoice and item caps for one mobile counter.
Clear capacity steps: Plans specify counter type or up to five counters or users, alongside invoice and item limits.
Relevant shop workflows: Barcode scanning, purchase orders, sales orders, and stock alerts address checkout and inventory needs.

Cons

Free plans are capped: 30 invoices per month and 200 items may constrain a growing shop.
Counter setup determines the tier: A shop needing both mobile and another counter type must move above the single-counter plans.
Prices exclude GST: The annual figures are not the full tax-inclusive cost.
Five-user options cost more: The 5-counter/user tiers are substantially above the single-counter choices.

Alternatives

Heartland Retail is worth comparing for shoppers seeking another freemium POS across Android, iOS, API, and web; its starting price is 89.00 USD per month.
Nimbus RMS may suit a buyer who wants a time-limited trial to assess a smaller multi-store setup: its 14-day trial allows up to 3 stores, 50 products, and 1 user and register per store, with no receipt limit and no credit card requirement.
Aptos Retail is a paid alternative available on Android, iOS, API, and web.
Runit RealTime is a paid alternative for shoppers considering cloud POS with support and upgrades included in the monthly subscription.
Stoq is a paid alternative available across web, desktop operating systems, and mobile platforms.
Erply is a paid alternative with no free plan; its Growth Plan costs 1000.00 USD per month and supports 3 stores, 100,000 queries per month, unlimited users, and 2,000 AI actions per month.
Oracle Retail Xstore Point-of-Service is a paid alternative without a free plan; retailers can request a demo.
Cegid Retail is a paid alternative without a free plan.

Verdict

Choose Auromine if you run a jewellery or retail shop and want annual pricing that scales from a capped free counter to plans with unlimited invoices and items. Its strongest case is the direct match between counter configuration and tier. Look elsewhere if the free ceilings are too low or your operation needs a setup beyond the specified counter and user allowances.
