Overview

Messages, schedules, expenses, payments and records share a home across mobile and web. That breadth can reduce the need to coordinate family logistics across separate tools, though its permanent messaging and record features are more formal than casual co-parenting chat.

AppClose also accommodates different levels of participation: Solo can send requests, events and expenses to non-users by text or email and keep a log, while AppClose Pro lets attorneys, guardians ad litem, mediators and other professionals connect with appropriate consent.

Key features

Messages are time-stamped, encrypted, unalterable and permanent, with search and export options. This suits parents who value a retrievable communication record; the permanence may be a drawback for those seeking a less formal conversation space.

Audio and video calls can be recorded, transcribed and securely stored when both parties consent, with no limit on call count. Security options include two-factor authentication, PIN or biometric screen locks, and advanced data encryption. AppClose says it does not sell user data to third parties and uses firewalls and access controls.

Scheduling offers 15 ready-made parenting templates as well as custom schedules and shared calendar events. Integrated ipayou payments support reimbursements, child support and shared expenses; expense tracking and document storage help keep related records together.

Certified electronic business-record exports include a unique record ID and certification timestamp, which can make them useful when a formal record is needed. This feature is available only to users in the United States, so it is not a solution for certified exports elsewhere.

AppClose Web syncs communications, calendars, expenses and records for desktop or browser use. The service is localized in eight languages, including English and Spanish, and advertises a U.S.-based support team with family-law experience.

Pricing

AppClose offers a 60-day trial and a free fee-waiver account for people facing financial hardship and domestic-violence survivors. The fee-waiver account costs 0.00 USD per free; the paid plans are described as unlimited, with no extra payments.

Monthly web: 7.99 USD per month, billed monthly, for all features on app and web. It is the lowest monthly price and suits people who prefer to pay month by month.
Monthly app: 8.99 USD per month, billed monthly, for all-inclusive access on mobile and web. It costs more than the web monthly plan for the same stated cross-platform scope.
One Year Prepaid web: 83.88 USD per year, billed prepaid annually, equivalent to $6.99 monthly. It keeps all app and web features while lowering the monthly equivalent, in exchange for paying a year upfront.
One Year app: 98.99 USD per year, billed prepaid annually, approximately $8.25/month, for full unlimited access on app and web. It is a higher-cost annual option than the web prepaid plan.
Two Years Prepaid web: 143.76 USD per year, billed every two years, equivalent to $5.99 monthly. It has the lowest monthly equivalent but requires the longest commitment.

All paid plans are presented as unlimited, with no extra payments, so there are no stated usage quotas or seat caps to weigh. Choose a web plan for the lower price at the same stated app-and-web coverage; choose a prepaid term only if the upfront commitment suits you.

Platforms

AppClose supports Android, iOS and web. The synced browser experience makes it practical to work from a desktop as well as a phone.

Who it's for

AppClose is best suited to co-parents who need scheduling, financial coordination and a durable communication record in one place. Solo is particularly relevant when the other parent is not a user, while the professional connection option may suit families working with legal or mediation professionals. Those outside the United States who need certified electronic business-record exports should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: Messaging, scheduling, expenses, payments and document storage are combined, which keeps routine coordination and its records together.
Pro: Solo can send requests, events and expenses to non-users by text or email while retaining a log, so participation need not begin with both parents adopting the service.
Pro: Unlimited paid access and multiple prepaid choices give frequent users options to trade upfront commitment for a lower monthly equivalent.
Con: Certified electronic business-record exports are restricted to U.S. users, limiting a key record feature for families elsewhere.
Con: Monthly app access costs 8.99 USD per month versus 7.99 USD per month for monthly web access, despite both plans covering mobile and web.

Verdict

Choose AppClose if you want a broad co-parenting toolkit with permanent, searchable communication, coordination, payments and documented records, especially when non-users or family-law professionals need to be included. Look elsewhere if certified electronic business-record exports are essential outside the United States, or if you do not want permanent messaging or a paid plan beyond the fee-waiver account.
