Overview

AkioSurvey covers the survey workflow from creation through response review. Fourteen predefined question types, question and page branching, and answer-based disqualification give survey builders meaningful control over what respondents see. Surveys can go out by direct link, email invitation, website embed, social media, QR code, or optional public listing, so the tool can suit both targeted invitations and broader outreach.

Results update as answers arrive, and users can inspect individual responses alongside visual summaries. That is useful for tracking feedback while a survey is open. However, exporting summaries or individual responses in XLS, CSV, or PDF is reserved for Standard and Professional, making Free less suitable when results need to feed another analysis workflow.

Key features

AI drafting and survey logic

The AI generator builds a survey from a topic, desired question count, and language; users can then customize the draft. The allowance scales from three generated surveys of up to five questions on Free, to 20 of up to 15 questions on Standard and 30 of up to 20 questions on Professional. It can accelerate a first draft, but the quotas and question ceilings mean it is not an unlimited substitute for writing or editing surveys.

Branching at both question and page level, plus the ability to disqualify responses based on answers, supports more focused questionnaires. These controls are useful for feedback and research where later questions should depend on earlier answers, though no further detail about logic complexity is available.

Response review and privacy

Live updates, individual response views, and visual summaries make it possible to follow incoming answers without waiting for collection to end. AkioSurvey says survey data remain under user control and are not sold, shared with third parties, aggregated, or mined. It also says the service is designed with European data-protection requirements in mind, including GDPR principles.

Pricing

AkioSurvey is freemium, with no separate time-limited free trial described. The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free, billed $ 0 Forever. It includes 10 surveys, 10 questions, 200 responses per month, and three AI-generated surveys capped at five questions each. That is a practical starting point for small or occasional projects, but the response ceiling and lack of exports make it restrictive for ongoing studies.

Standard costs 7.29 USD per month, billed $ 7.29/month or $ 87.48/year; $ 78.49/year. It raises the allowance to 200 surveys, 200 questions, and 2,000 responses per month, with 20 generated surveys of up to 15 questions. The higher monthly response allowance suits regular feedback collection, and it adds XLS, CSV, and PDF exports, but it remains capped at 2,000 responses per month.

Professional costs 21.79 USD per month, billed $ 21.79/month or $ 261.48/year; $ 230.49/year. It provides unlimited surveys, questions, and responses, plus 30 AI-generated surveys of up to 20 questions, and includes the paid-package export formats. This is the clearest fit for projects that would outgrow Standard’s response limit; the higher price is harder to justify for occasional or low-volume use.

Platforms

AkioSurvey is available on Android, iOS, and the web. The maker says surveys are optimized for phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops, which supports distribution across different respondent devices.

Who it's for

The stated uses span customer and patient satisfaction, employee feedback, 360-degree surveys, market research, student surveys, and scheduling polls. Free can accommodate small projects within its 200-response monthly cap; Standard is more suited to recurring work needing exports and up to 2,000 monthly responses; Professional is for users who need unlimited response volume. The paid plans list email support in English, Russian, Czech, and French.

Pros and cons

Pros: Question and page branching, disqualification rules, and 14 predefined question types support more tailored surveys.
Pros: Multiple distribution routes and live summaries make it practical to reach respondents and track answers as they arrive.
Pros: Professional removes survey, question, and response caps, while Standard offers a substantial increase over Free.
Cons: Free is limited to 10 surveys, 10 questions, and 200 monthly responses, so larger projects need an upgrade.
Cons: Response exports require Standard or Professional, restricting how Free users can reuse collected results.
Cons: AI generation is capped on every plan, including Professional, at 30 surveys of up to 20 questions.

Alternatives

AI Survey Generators is a category list for readers comparing AI survey tools. Typeform is worth considering if a free plan with unlimited forms matters more than response volume: its Free plan allows 10 responses per month. Synesis Survey offers a free plan with one survey, 20 responses, basic question types, and basic analytics, alongside a Starter plan priced at 2500.00 NGN.

Lumor is another freemium option, with a free plan that includes one workspace, one user, three studies per month, and 100 responses per month. Alchemer is an alternative with a free plan and paid plans that include annual response allowances; its Collaborator and Professional plans have no price listed. onlinesurvey.ai has a free plan with 250 responses per month, 10 AI credits per month, five active surveys, and one seat, making it a possible fit when those free-tier allowances align better.

Revuloop offers a free plan with 150 responses per month, 200 one-time AI tokens, unlimited surveys, and one user seat. SoGoSurvey has a free plan capped at 15 projects per year, 100 responses per project, 200 responses per year, and 200 emails per year. SurveyCake may suit readers prioritizing unlimited questions and responses on a free plan, which also includes basic question types and PDF, CSV, and Excel exports.

Verdict

AkioSurvey is a sound choice for individuals and teams that want branching, several ways to distribute surveys, and live response summaries, particularly when 2,000 monthly responses on Standard will suffice. Its main reason to choose elsewhere is equally clear: Free cannot export responses, while Standard has a firm monthly response ceiling. Choose Professional when unlimited response volume is worth the higher price; for lighter projects, Free is useful only if its caps and lack of exports fit the workflow.
