Overview

AgilePoint NX is a low-code platform for building applications and coordinating enterprise workflows, systems and AI. It suits organizations that need governed processes to span existing systems and change while running. Its standout advantage is runtime flexibility; its seat minimums and enterprise pricing make it a poor fit for small teams seeking a simple, low-cost workflow tool.

Key features

Compose applications and adapt workflows

Visual, model-driven composition lets teams build and execute without compilation or a virtual machine, while pro-code support accommodates more technical work. More unusually, teams can alter an orchestration in flight: roll back, skip, suspend or resume work, split or merge paths, rework part of a process, or migrate work without redeployment or recompilation. That is useful when operational processes change midstream, but may be more capability than teams with stable, straightforward workflows need.

Reuse and integration

AgilePoint lists more than 1,200 reusable capability assets drawn from over 120 systems and internally built assets. Its catalog includes Salesforce, SAP, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Jira, UiPath, OpenAI, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and AWS services. Broad integration coverage can help teams orchestrate work across an established enterprise stack; the Standard plan's core connectors, however, are distinct from the advanced connectors included with Enterprise.

AI generation, agents and governance

NX v10 can generate application experiences from images, PDFs, mockups, documents and external data sources. Its MCP Server lets compatible AI agents trigger AgilePoint workflows without custom integration code, and its AI Control Tower provides governance, observability and control for public- and private-model strategies. Field-level encryption with customer-managed keys and API key management add security controls for data and external tools. AgilePoint says it is pursuing ISO 42001 certification; that is not a certification claim.

Pricing

AgilePoint's pricing model is freemium, with paid plans from 39.00 USD per month per named user. The entry price is not the full cost for every team: Standard requires at least 50 seats, while Professional requires at least 35. The named-seat and DCA options have different licensing bases, so buyers should match the quote to how people and agents will access applications.

Community Edition: Custom pricing; up to 25 named users and two applications, with community-based support. Its small user and application caps make it an entry point for limited deployments, not a broad rollout.
Standard Edition: 39.00 USD per month per named user, minimum 50 seats. It includes core connectors, SSO, public or private cloud or on-premises deployment, and standard 9–5 support. The minimum commitment makes the headline price less attractive to a small team, and the connector set is narrower than Enterprise's.
Professional Edition: 195.00 USD per month per DCA seat, or 59.00 USD per month per named seat, with a 35-seat minimum. DCA seats are shared 10–25×; the plan includes advanced connectors, Mobile App Builder, Analytic Center, cloud or on-premises deployment, and optional 24/7 support. DCA can serve many users per seat on average, while named seats avoid shared-seat licensing; either way, the minimum is substantial.
Enterprise Edition: 19950.00 USD per month per production CPU core, minimum two cores. It includes unlimited managed users, advanced connectors and clustering, two non-production environments, hybrid private cloud and on-premises deployment, and optional 24/7 support. This is aimed at enterprise-wide rollouts, not teams seeking per-user pricing.
Anonymous External Users: Custom pricing on usage-based licensing, with secure interaction for unmanaged identities and no seat allocation. This suits external access that should not consume named seats.
Dynamic Concurrent Access: 195.00 USD per month starting price per seat, with volume discounts; seats are shared across humans and AI agents, and each serves 10–25 users on average. The shared model can suit variable access patterns, but the starting price and volume terms warrant a deployment-specific calculation.

Platforms

AgilePoint NX supports Android, iOS, web and Windows, as well as API access and self-hosted deployment. NX v10 is offered on-premises, in private cloud and as SaaS; pricing also describes public cloud and hybrid deployment options. That range suits organizations balancing hosted use with control over where systems run.

Who it's for

NX is best suited to organizations coordinating complex processes across enterprise systems, especially where workflows need to adapt at runtime or include AI-driven work under governance. Community Edition's 25-user, two-application cap gives smaller groups a limited starting point, but Standard's 50-seat minimum and Professional's 35-seat minimum raise the cost and commitment for growing beyond it. Teams with simpler automation needs or few users should compare alternatives before adopting an enterprise-oriented platform.

Pros and cons

Pro: Runtime rollback, branching changes, partial rework and in-flight migration avoid redeployment or recompilation, giving process owners options when live work needs to change.
Pro: More than 1,200 reusable assets across over 120 systems, plus named enterprise integrations, can reduce the need to assemble every connection from scratch.
Pro: MCP-triggered workflows, AI application generation and AI Control Tower governance address both AI-assisted building and oversight of AI-driven processes.
Con: Standard and Professional impose 50- and 35-seat minimums respectively, which can make the entry price impractical for small teams.
Con: Community Edition is limited to 25 named users and two applications, while the broadest capacity comes with Enterprise's per-core pricing and minimum of two production cores.

Alternatives

Bonita is worth considering for a smaller free start: its Bonita Free plan allows 150 process instances per month with no time limit and no credit card required.

Camunda may fit teams that want a free self-managed development option for local development and testing without a license.

HEFLO is an alternative for teams that need web access alongside Android and iOS platforms.

Bizagi Modeler is a more focused option when the priority is modeling: its free plan allows one user and unlimited processes and models, with local storage only.

Celonis Process Mining Platform is another option to compare if process mining is the priority; its free plan is 0.00 USD per free.

ProcessMind offers a free plan for one member with full process access, unlimited models and 20 AI credits per month, making it a possible fit for an individual evaluating process work.

Joget may suit a very small web-based team looking for a free tier capped at three users.

BP Logix Process Director is another process-management product to compare.

Verdict

Choose AgilePoint NX if your organization needs applications, enterprise integrations and workflows that can be reshaped in flight, with AI activity governed as part of the process. Runtime adaptability and reusable integration assets are the strongest reasons to choose it. Look elsewhere if your team cannot justify the seat minimums or enterprise licensing, or simply needs lightweight automation for a small number of users.
