Overview

Agantty puts projects, tasks and teams on a Gantt chart, with a dashboard for reviewing to-dos and filtering them by project, user or timeframe. Task dependencies and milestones support sequencing work; resource management and a workload view help teams consider assignments and capacity.

Task overviews, drag-and-drop, rights management, email reminders and PDF exports round out the listed tools. Calendar export links or ICS files let projects synchronize with Google Calendar, Apple iCal, Outlook and other calendars. Agantty is available in English, German and Low German. The maker was founded in 2015 and is based in Zeven, Germany.

Key features

The Gantt-centered approach makes Agantty a natural fit for teams that need to see project work on a timeline rather than rely only on task lists. Dependencies and milestones add structure to that view, while workload and resource tools address assignment and distribution. The dashboard's filters help users narrow a to-do list without changing the central planning model.

Team members who share projects must register with Agantty, so casual collaborators cannot simply be added without accounts. Calendar synchronization uses export links or ICS files. Agantty currently cannot process external data through an API, and users cannot host an instance on their own server.

Agantty says its servers are in Germany and that it follows German BDSG data-protection regulations. It also cites encrypted communication, 256-bit SSL, encrypted passwords, backups and database copies, and ISO 27001 certification.

Pricing

Agantty uses a freemium model and offers a 14-day trial with all features. The Free plan is 0.00 USD per free and is limited to one project, with no teams and no support. That makes it suitable for an individual assessing the tool or managing a single project, but not for a team that needs shared projects or ongoing support.

Premium is 490.00 EUR per month, billed per person. It includes unlimited tasks, projects and teams, CSV project imports, project templates from a personal collection or the Community, task lists by email and ticket support. The per-person term matters for growing teams, and the supplied plan terms do not state a billing interval or trial renewal terms. Premium is the practical choice for teams that need multiple projects and shared work, but its stated monthly seat price is a substantial step up from the free tier.

Platforms

Agantty is available on Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, web and Windows. Its mobile apps for iOS and Android support viewing and adding tasks and saving filter shortlists, making them task companions rather than a replacement for the broader planning workflow.

Who it's for

Agantty is aimed at small and medium-sized teams, and its maker says its own web agency uses it to organize agency projects. It is most compelling for teams that plan work visually, need workload and resource views, and can accept registered team members and a cloud-hosted service. It is a poorer fit for organizations that require external-data API processing or self-hosting.

Pros and cons

Pros: Gantt planning is supported by dependencies, milestones, resource management and a workload view, giving teams several ways to structure and assess project work.
Pros: Calendar export links and ICS files support synchronization with common calendar services, while PDF export offers a way to share project information.
Cons: The free plan allows only one project, excludes teams and provides no support, so it is not a workable free option for shared project planning.
Cons: Premium is 490.00 EUR per month per person, making the move from a limited trial or free use a major cost commitment for teams.
Cons: Team sharing requires every participant to register, and the product cannot currently process external data through an API or be self-hosted.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, see Gantt Chart Software and Project Management Software.

Rillsoft Project is worth considering if self-hosted or Linux and Windows availability matters; its Light single-user license is 357.00 EUR per month.
Open Planner Studio is a free, open-source option for readers seeking Gantt charts, critical-path analysis and resource planning without subscription or per-seat license fees.
ProjectLibre may suit readers who want Microsoft Project import alongside Gantt and WBS tools; ProjectLibre Core is 9.99 USD per month, billed annually.
TeamGantt is an alternative for readers who want a web and mobile service with a Personal tier for one user, one project and 40 tasks; its Basic plan is 24.00 USD per month, billed monthly.
Ganttic may be a better fit for resource planning with a free tier covering up to 10 resources, unlimited users and projects, Gantt charts, reports and Kanban boards.
GanttProject is a free desktop application for Windows, macOS and Linux.
Instagantt is another freemium option for web users who want an Asana-linked free version capped at three projects and one user.
TaskJuggler is a free alternative for readers comparing project-planning options.

Verdict

Agantty is a solid candidate for small and medium-sized teams that want Gantt-led planning with dependencies, workload and resource views in one product. Its strongest reason to choose it is that combination of timeline planning and team-oriented project tools; its strongest reasons to look elsewhere are the one-project, no-team free cap and the steep stated Premium price per person. Teams that need API-based data exchange or self-hosting should also choose another fit.
