Overview

SchedulingKit is booking and scheduling software for solo professionals, teams, and businesses that want calendars, payments, and coordination in one platform. Its breadth is a strength, but the per-active-member billing and lack of HIPAA compliance narrow its fit for some organizations.

Key features

Booking pages, group bookings, automated reminders, and two-way calendar sync cover the core appointment workflow. Calendar connections include Google, Outlook, iCloud, Apple, and Exchange; video links can be generated for Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex. These options make it practical for businesses coordinating appointments across calendars and meeting services.

Teams can use round-robin assignment, collective availability, and multi-staff scheduling. Paid plans also allow unlimited workspaces or businesses under one login, a useful arrangement for operators managing several brands or locations. The trade-off is that paid billing counts active team members across all workspaces, so adding another business does not isolate its seat costs.

Payments support Stripe and PayPal, with booking workflows for deposits, invoices, and automated follow-ups. The service also connects with Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, and more than 1,000 apps through Zapier. Developers can build on its REST API and real-time webhooks, while an embeddable JavaScript booking widget offers another route to publish bookings.

AI offerings include a receptionist, voice agent, chatbot, AI agents, AI CRM, and AI scheduling. Data is encrypted with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit; security controls include role-based access and audit logging. Public booking pages meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, with keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and high-contrast modes. SchedulingKit supports GDPR, but it is not HIPAA-compliant and does not provide a Business Associate Agreement, ruling it out for workflows that require those protections.

Pricing

The free plan is free forever and includes one team member, one event type, 50 bookings per month, one calendar connection, and one workspace. It is a meaningful starting point for a solo operator with modest volume, but the booking cap and single event type can constrain a growing schedule.

Standard costs $10.00 USD per month billed annually, or $12/seat/month on a monthly basis. It adds unlimited event types and bookings, six calendar connections, 100 SMS credits per month, and unlimited workspaces or businesses. This is the clearest fit for solo professionals who have outgrown the free caps, though the per-active-member billing matters if a team grows.

Pro costs $16.00 USD per month billed annually, or $20/seat/month monthly. It raises the allowance to unlimited calendar connections and 250 SMS credits per month, making it more suitable for businesses with multiple calendars or heavier reminder use. Business costs $30.00 USD per month billed annually, or $36/seat/month monthly, and includes 500 SMS credits; it is aimed at teams that need a larger messaging allowance, with priority support also included.

Enterprise has custom pricing and includes unlimited SMS credits, dedicated support, custom integrations, SLA guarantees, and volume discounts. A 14-day trial is available; after it ends, accounts move to Free unless the user subscribes. Users can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade at any time.

Platforms

SchedulingKit is available on the web, Android, and iOS, as well as through an API. Its iPhone and iPad apps sync bookings, contacts, and event types with the web app.

Who it's for

Solo professionals can start with a capped free plan or move to Standard for uncapped bookings and event types. Teams that coordinate staff, calendars, or multiple businesses have more reason to consider Pro or Business, while larger organizations may value Enterprise support and custom integrations. SchedulingKit says it serves areas including therapy, personal training, salons, and law firms. It is not the right choice for healthcare workflows that require HIPAA compliance or a Business Associate Agreement.

Pros and cons

Pros: Booking, two-way calendar sync, team assignment, payment collection, and follow-ups are combined, reducing the need to assemble a basic scheduling workflow from separate tools.
Pros: The free plan gives one-person businesses 50 monthly bookings and one calendar connection without a subscription.
Pros: Paid plans support unlimited workspaces, while API access, webhooks, and Zapier connections offer routes to broader workflows.
Cons: Free use is restricted to one event type, one calendar, one member, and 50 monthly bookings.
Cons: Paid seats are charged per active team member across all workspaces, which can raise costs as teams expand.
Cons: The platform is not HIPAA-compliant and does not provide a Business Associate Agreement.

Verdict

SchedulingKit is a strong fit for solo professionals and growing businesses that want booking, calendar coordination, payments, and team scheduling in one service, with a free tier to start. Choose it for the broad workflow and integrations, but look elsewhere if active-member billing does not suit your budget or your work requires HIPAA compliance.
