What XVerify is

XVerify checks email addresses, phone numbers and postal addresses to help organizations improve data quality and email deliverability. Available on the web and through an API, it offers bulk list upload, real-time form checks and disposable-address detection. Email verification contacts individual mail servers to determine whether a username exists at a domain. For phone checks, XVerify looks up US and Canadian landline and mobile numbers in telecom database records; it says the method does not involve calling users and gives an approximate 80% accuracy rate. Address verification covers the United States and Canada, including minor spelling and street-extension corrections.

The service also monitors customer IPs against more than 200 known blacklists and can email an alert if a mailing IP appears on one. XVerify says each email check is a separate transaction and that it does not cache verification data. Implementation options in its documentation include a plug-and-play script, sample JavaScript and a RESTful call. Integrations include Mailchimp, MyEmma, Mailgun, Marketo, AWeber, EMercury, SendGrid, JotForm, Formstack and Lead Prosper. XVerify is headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois, and lists support by email from 8am–5pm CST Monday through Friday.
