What Viz CaptureCast is

Viz CaptureCast is an on-premise network appliance for capturing, composing, streaming and publishing content from classrooms, meeting rooms and events. It automates recording, streaming and publishing, including workflows scheduled in advance. Across concurrent room workflows, it can record up to six NDI or NDI|HX inputs, with recording and live streaming described at rates up to 1080/30p. During a live lecture, it can capture presentation slides and text to make video searchable and support enriched playback.

Teams configure, manage and control spaces and workflows through a browser interface and CaptureCast Workflow Wizards. Vizrt lists integrations with Kaltura, Panopto and Opencast, and says the system can stream to providers including Vimeo and YouTube. NDI enables direct connections to video communication applications such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom. Optional CaptureCast Spaces subscriptions allow customers to begin with one space workflow and scale up to three concurrent workflows. The product is intended for educators and corporate teams, and supports Windows. Pricing is on request; Vizrt's launch announcement lists a USMSRP of $7,995, with international pricing subject to variation. Vizrt was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Bergen, Norway.
