What Tokn is
Tokn is a free, open-source Android authenticator for services using standard TOTP or HOTP two-factor authentication. It generates codes offline and supports RFC 6238 TOTP and RFC 4226 HOTP with SHA-1, SHA-256, and SHA-512. Tokens stay on the device in an SQLCipher-encrypted database protected by a biometric or password unlock. No account or telemetry is required, and optional internet access for service icons is disabled by default. Accounts can move between phones over local Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, or an animated QR code with an end-to-end encrypted handshake. Tokn also creates and restores encrypted backups, and imports accounts from Aegis, 2FAS, Stratum, Google Authenticator, and otpauth URIs. Custom groups organize accounts, while a searchable, filterable audit log records vault and settings changes. Deleted accounts remain in a recycle bin for 30 days by default. Downloads are offered through Google Play, F-Droid, and GitHub.
