What Thumbnailr.io is

Thumbnailr.io is a web tool for making YouTube thumbnails from a written brief, a reference image, or a YouTube link. A typical generation takes about a minute, according to the site. You can guide the result with up to three reference images or a YouTube thumbnail link, then add up to three images of faces, products, or shots as the main subject. Finished thumbnails export as 1280×720 PNG files without a watermark.

You can request a new version with an edit prompt; each edit uses one credit. A beta script-generation tool shares the thumbnail credit balance, using one credit for each generation, regeneration, or edit. New accounts receive five credits without a credit card, and those credits do not expire. The free plan costs nothing. A one-time Credit pack costs $1,025, paid once and includes 25 credits that do not expire. The site lists no free trial and describes Thumbnailr as an AI thumbnail generator for YouTube creators.
