What TeamPay is

TeamPay runs payroll for hospitality teams, with tronc and tip distribution included alongside payroll compliance and pension administration. During each pay run, it files Full Payment Submissions and Employer Payment Summaries to HMRC. Tronc pooling can follow scheme rules based on points, hours, role, or length of service, with an audit trail for tips and service charges. Before approval, the platform checks tax codes, NI categories, and hours, and compares effective hourly rates with minimum wage. It also handles pension auto-enrolment assessments, enrolment, opt-outs, and contribution submissions, integrating with Nest, The People’s Pension, and Smart Pension. Rotaready, Bizimply, and Xero are listed integrations, and an open two-way API supports payroll data, hours, employee changes, and webhooks. Payslips, onboarding documents, and Nora answers are available in 15 languages, including right-to-left Arabic and Urdu. Nora answers routine questions 24/7 and can escalate sensitive or unusual cases to a payroll specialist. TeamPay is available on web and through an API. Payroll software starts at £2 per employee per month; managed payroll is £6 per employee per month on top of that fee.
