SuperX Video Downloader is a free, GPL-3.0 open-source Android app for downloading video and audio. It supports YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Dailymotion, Vimeo, and more than 1,000 other sites. Downloads can use MP4, MP3, HLS .m3u8, or DASH .mpd formats, including live video and audio streams. A built-in browser provides history, bookmarks, and cookies, allowing access to login-protected areas where cookies are needed. Background download management handles multiple tasks, and the integrated player plays saved media offline. Networking options include HTTP and SOCKS proxy chains plus encrypted DNS through DNS-over-HTTPS and DNS-over-TLS. The app includes a Rust-based ad blocker with block-list support. F-Droid describes local processing with no trackers or advertisements and lists version 0.8.25.9 for Android 7.0 or newer. The project recommends downloading its reproducible build from F-Droid and says it was created for research and educational purposes.
