What SpiderScribe is
SpiderScribe is a web-based mind mapping and brainstorming tool for arranging ideas in free-form maps. Maps can combine text, images, files, calendar events, and geographic locations. Users may create public or private maps, share private maps, and collaborate at the same time. Map tools include in-map search, undo and redo, group selection, a navigator panel, and thumbnail previews. Drawing mode lets users sketch shapes, add stencils, and draw lines that connect or remove elements. Maps can be printed, exported as images or SVG files, and public maps can be embedded on websites with the Embed Wizard. Maps can also link to the 5pm project management app. SpiderScribe runs in a browser and requires the Flash plugin. The free Personal plan is for non-commercial use and allows three private maps with 3 MB of file and image space. Pro costs $5 a month, Business $25 a month, and Education $19 a month, each billed monthly with a 30-day trial.
