What SpaceMap is
SpaceMap is a macOS application that scans files and folders and presents their relative sizes in a treemap. It can scan external drives, supports drag-and-drop folder scanning, and keeps recent scans. The Free plan includes a squarified treemap, concurrent scanning, and five built-in themes. SpaceMap can produce exportable reports. It does not show application sizes or provide a file-type breakdown, so its view stays focused on scanned files and folders. SpaceMap Free costs nothing, billed free forever, and is MIT licensed. SpaceMap is made by SpaceMap, headquartered in Bourne, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom, and listed as founded in 2026. The product is available for macOS through launchpadtechnology.co.uk/pages/spacemap.html.
