What SimpleMind is
SimpleMind is mind-mapping software for organizing thoughts, remembering information and generating ideas. It runs on Android, iOS, macOS and Windows. The free edition is available on iPad, iPhone and Android, where maps are saved in a private on-device folder. Mac and Windows users can use a 30-day full-functionality trial. Pro adds free-form and horizontal layouts, six additional layouts, crosslinks, checkboxes, progress bars, labels, call-outs, notes, icons and images. More than 15 stylesheets are available, and Pro supports custom stylesheets and map-detail adjustments. Pro also includes a built-in slideshow, except on phones. Maps can stay on a device or in cloud storage; SimpleMind recommends Dropbox for syncing across platforms, with additional built-in options on iPad, iPhone and Android. No account is required, and the maker says maps remain off its servers. Separate perpetual licenses are required for each platform.
