QuMagie is QNAP’s application for browsing, searching, and organizing photos and videos stored on a QNAP NAS. It runs on Android, iOS, the web, and as a self-hosted service. QNAP AI Core can use facial and object recognition to create albums automatically on supported x86 or ARM64 NAS models. Smart Albums collect media matching criteria you define, while search accepts keywords, creation dates, and file sizes. QuMagie Mobile can periodically back up new photos and videos from selected device folders to selected NAS folders. It connects through myQNAPcloud, a local network, or a specified server address. Shared links may require passwords and expiration dates, and recipients can open files without a NAS account. The mobile AI Assistant interprets commands locally through the device platform’s AI model; QNAP says requests are not sent to an external cloud AI service. QuMagie requires Multimedia Console and QTS 4.4.1 or later or QuTS hero 4.4.1 or later. Video thumbnails require CAYIN Media Viewer and its basic license.
