What PointCheck is
PointCheck is a free web tool that checks public websites against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 Level AA criteria. Submit a URL without an account, and it runs six automated checks in about 90 seconds: keyboard navigation, focus visibility, page structure and semantics, color and contrast, text resizing and reflow, and form error handling. A headless Chrome browser drives the scans, while MolmoWeb-8B, Molmo-7B-D, and OLMo-3 analyze pages and prepare a report. Results include a compliance score, findings grouped by criterion, remediation guidance, and a downloadable PDF. Submitted URLs and test data are discarded after results return, according to PointCheck. Google Analytics records anonymous page-view and session data, and Vercel or Modal may retain standard server logs. Automated findings cover only some issues and are not WCAG certification.
Who it suits
PointCheck suits site owners and authorized testers who need a quick automated accessibility review. It is less suitable when manual, mobile, or continuous testing is required.
