What it does: Planix turns a plain-English project brief into dimensioned 2D floor plans, an interactive 3D model, and preliminary engineering outputs.
Geometry: Walls, rooms, and columns are placed by a mathematical solver rather than AI guessing.
Engineering outputs: The pipeline provides country-aware preliminary structural defaults, a bill of quantities, a cost estimate, and engineering notes for licensed-engineer review.
Exports: The product page says users can download AutoCAD-compatible DXF and PDF files.
Connect: Planix Connect is a Windows desktop agent that works with installed AutoCAD, while Revit and SketchUp support is described as beta on the product page.
Audience: Planix describes its audience as civil and structural engineers, architects, builders, and design-build firms working on preliminary layouts, massing, and rough quantities.
Engineering limit: Planix says its outputs are concept-to-preliminary grade and require licensed-engineer review before construction use.
Supported scope limit: The homepage says Connect does not yet support structural drawings inside AutoCAD or Revit, mixed-use buildings, or irregular plots.
Integrations: Planix Connect controls locally installed AutoCAD and Revit, and the Connect guide lists AutoCAD 2018+ and Revit 2021+ compatibility.
File analysis: Planix Analyze accepts IFC, PDF, DXF, Excel, image, CSV, and DWG files for preliminary structural or civil analysis.
Security: Project files are stored in private Supabase Storage, downloads use time-limited signed URLs, and row-level security scopes projects and exports to their owning account.
Connect data handling: The desktop agent uses outbound-only authenticated WSS connections, and the company says only generated drafting instructions—not local files—are exchanged with Planix.
Payments: Planix says payments are handled by a PCI-compliant merchant-of-record provider and that it does not see or store full card numbers, CVV, or bank credentials.
Support: The FAQ says the team usually replies within one business day.
