What Noteastic is
Noteastic is a handwritten note-taking application for Windows, designed for lecture notes, slide annotations, study summaries, and exam preparation. Users can import PDFs, write or highlight on pages, and export notes as a single annotated PDF. Inking tools support sketching, annotation, and highlighting. The Library organizes notes into folders and notebooks and supports name-based search. Notes are stored locally, available offline, and can be backed up manually from Settings. Each device has its own local library; the site says cloud functionality is currently unavailable, with multi-device sync planned. Noteastic supports Windows 11 on x64 and ARM devices and is optimized for 2-in-1 computers using MPP 2.0 or newer styluses. Finger drawing is not supported, so ink input requires a stylus, drawing pad, or mouse. Wacom and Huion tablets are named as compatible. The free Base plan includes unlimited notebooks. Pro costs €20 a year including tax and adds text boxes, a laser pointer, more colors, measuring tools, and text recognition. Noteastic was founded in 2020 in Vienna and released in February 2025.
