What Nimble Streamer is

Nimble Streamer is paid, self-managed media-server software for live and video-on-demand streaming. It accepts SRT, RTMP, RTSP, WebRTC WHIP, NDI, SDI, RIST, Zixi, and OMT inputs, then delivers HLS, MPEG-DASH, WebRTC WHEP, SRT, or RTMP. Low-latency workflows can use WebRTC WHEP, Low Latency HLS, and SLDP. The server repackages streams; codec conversion, bitrate ladders, resizing, and filters require the separately licensed Nimble Live Transcoder. DVR recording, playback, and continuous JSON-playlist channels are supported. Caption workflows include WebVTT, CEA-608, CEA-708, DVB subtitles, and DVB teletext, with listed speech-recognition integrations. Nimble DRM and Nimble Advertizer cover protection and server-side advertising. Paywall controls include signed URLs, geographic and IP restrictions, connection and bandwidth limits, and User-Agent or Referer blocking. Servers run on bare-metal or virtual machines and are managed through WMSPanel, APIs, or configuration files. The Nimble Streamer plan costs $50 a month, with a 14-day trial.
