NetEase Cloud Gaming
What NetEase Cloud Gaming is
NetEase Cloud Gaming provides cloud gaming technology and server resources for mobile and PC games. Game operations run in the cloud, so users do not need to install games locally or use device storage for them. The service supports Android, iOS, web and Windows, and lists Android, iOS, web/PC and TV among its supported devices. Streaming resolution reaches 1080p. Its access model is mixed, and the service has a freemium model with a free plan and a free trial.
The cloud computer gives each user a private space to install games and apps. Games downloaded into that space can be used again later without downloading them again. A persistent disk retains stored data after a session ends. First-time cloud computer users receive a two-day data disk trial, and new users can use free time awarded at registration. The cloud computer FAQ also says a free UU accelerator is provided. If the data disk expires, the cloud computer remains playable, but its data is cleared each time the user exits. Data disk capacity can be expanded, though it cannot currently be reduced; the additional E drive does not retain data after exit. NetEase Cloud Gaming was founded in 1997; its app listing names Guangzhou NetEase Computer System Co., Ltd. as developer.
