The record

Purpose: The project describes itself as an unofficial launcher for the Android version of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on Linux and macOS.
How it works: It runs the Android game's native libraries on desktop by fixing incompatibilities between Android Bionic and desktop Linux glibc, and rewriting Android-specific code for Linux.
UI features: The Qt user interface lets users log in, download and manage Minecraft versions, and troubleshoot.
Supported architectures: The project documentation lists x86, x86_64, armhf and arm64 versions of Minecraft for Linux and macOS.
Distribution: Linux installation options include Flatpak, Debian and Ubuntu packages, Fedora packages, Arch User Repository packages, and source builds.
macOS support: The project warns that Minecraft updates on the macOS port may be put on hold because the port supports at most OpenGL ES 3.0 while newer Minecraft requirements may need OpenGL ES 3.1.
Game ownership requirement: Downloading and updating a compatible game version requires signing in with a Google Play account that owns Minecraft on the Play Store.
Game not included: The project says it does not provide Minecraft Bedrock Edition itself.
APK policy: The project says it does not support piracy and does not want workarounds for importing a paid APK without a valid Google Play game license documented.
Compatibility limits: The documentation says the launcher cannot download or launch the game from the Apple iOS App Store or Microsoft Store.
Multiplayer limitation: The project says users cannot receive Xbox Live game invites, and may be unable to join worlds hosted by this launcher through Xbox Live friends joining.
Open source license: The GitHub repository lists the project under the GPL-3.0 license.
Support resources: The project provides a wiki with installation and build information, plus FAQ and troubleshooting documentation.
Resource packs: The FAQ says users can install resource packs, including GLSL shaders compatible with their graphics drivers.
