The record

Purpose: Mac Mouse Fix brings Apple Trackpad features to third-party mice on Mac.
Gestures: Mouse gestures can invoke Mission Control, switch desktops, show App Exposé, show the desktop, open Launchpad, and perform other trackpad-like actions.
Scrolling: It offers momentum-based scrolling with high, regular, and off smoothness settings, plus independent mouse scroll direction and keyboard modifiers.
Custom actions: Users can assign actions to mouse buttons and gestures, including keyboard shortcuts such as copy and paste or changing audio volume.
Button requirement: Some trackpad features require a mouse with at least five buttons; mice with fewer buttons may make some features harder to access.
Compatibility limits: The maker says some mice designed for proprietary driver software may have buttons Mac Mouse Fix cannot recognize, and Apple Magic Mouse is not currently supported.
App integrations: The maker gives Safari, Finder, Mail, Messages, Preview, Excel, and Affinity Photo as examples of apps where features can be used.
Privacy and source: The maker says the source code is available on GitHub and presents this as a way to inspect how the app works and assess its privacy and security.
Performance: The maker says it has optimized the app to use no more battery or memory than necessary.
Trial: The app is free for 30 days, and trial days are used only when the app is actually used.
Payment: The maker says the $2.99 price excludes local taxes and notes that PayPal currency conversion may add a 4.5% fee when paying on Gumroad in a currency other than euros.
Creator: The product page says Mac Mouse Fix was created by Noah Nuebling.
