LOOT

What LOOT is
LOOT is free, open-source software for arranging plugin load orders in modded games on Linux and Windows. It sorts plugins automatically, checks for incompatibilities and missing requirements, and reports detected issues. Supported games listed by its documentation include Starfield, Morrowind, Oblivion, Oblivion Remastered, Skyrim editions, Fallout titles, Nehrim, Enderal, and OpenMW. LOOT maintains a metadata masterlist for each supported game and normally updates the active game’s list during sorting. Plugin-specific notes, warnings, and Bash Tag suggestions provide additional guidance, including suggestions for Wrye Bash. You can add metadata and ordering rules to customize its behavior. Before applying certain changes, LOOT backs up the current load order and keeps the ten newest automatic backups. It can locate installations through Steam, Heroic Games Launcher, GOG, Epic Games Launcher, and the Xbox app. Microsoft Store and Game Pass games are supported, with detection limits for some older installations.
Who it suits
LOOT suits players managing mods for its listed games on 64-bit Linux or supported 64-bit Windows. It is for users comfortable with load-order concepts and who want automated checks and backups.
