What Ledger is
Ledger is an iPhone budgeting app built around pay cycles. It brings income, expenses and remaining funds together, letting users add salary, shifts and extra income with Australian tax estimates and custom penalty rates. Bills, subscriptions, payment plans and everyday spending can be assigned to their relevant pay cycle. Savings pockets support regular contributions while tracking balances, progress and history. The app also shows recurring expenses, category totals and annual estimates for future planning. Ledger works without bank logins, card details or connected accounts. From version 1.1.0 onward, planning data is stored locally on the device rather than Ledger-owned servers. The free plan lasts forever and includes one income stream, two custom accounts and basic adjustments. Ledger Pro costs A$5.99 a month and adds unlimited income streams, categories, adjustments, payment plans, deferrals and allocation rollover. Reports can be exported.
