Instead of Laravel Vapor

Laravel Vapor alternatives

Laravel Vapor deploys Laravel applications on AWS Lambda and handles infrastructure work around them. It provides Laravel-tuned autoscaling for web and queue workloads, zero-downtime releases and rollbacks, and management for secrets, databases, Redis, SQS, networks, and CloudFront. Teams can set collaborator permissions, while application, database, and cache metrics help flag poor performance. Vapor has a free Sandbox plan, with paid plans from $39 per month; AWS cloud costs are separate.

That focus can be a poor fit if you want a general framework tool, a browser-based place to try components, or a self-hosted stack. Vapor requires an active AWS account, and Sandbox projects exclude API Gateway versions, load balancers, firewalls, and custom domains. It also targets Laravel applications compatible with PHP 7.3+ and Laravel 6.0+. When comparing alternatives, decide whether you need managed deployment and cloud resources or would benefit more from code generation, framework-specific development, or documentation publishing. Language, project type, deployment target, and the need for managed services are important tradeoffs.
