Hangar
What Hangar is
Hangar is a local-first desktop application for working with PDFs, images, video, and audio on macOS and Windows. Its toolbox lists 83 tools, including 70 available now and 13 marked as coming soon. Each tool can handle one file or a folder, while parallel batch processing handles multiple files at once. You can save a sequence of tools as a chain and run it again on a folder with one key. Files opened, processed, and exported in Hangar remain on your computer. Optional machine-learning models can be downloaded; update checks may connect online, and anonymous analytics are optional and off by default. The maker says there are no file-size or media-length caps. Solo costs $4,579, paid once for one device, Crew $99,179, paid once for three devices, and Fleet $239,429, paid once for 10 devices. A 3-day trial and 30-day refund window are available.
