Purpose: FLauncher is a custom Minecraft launcher for managing multiple installations, accounts, and modpacks.
Mod sources: It can install modpacks and mods from Modrinth and CurseForge.
Instance isolation: Each instance is kept in its own folder, and users can choose a Java version per instance.
Upstream: FLauncher is a rebranded and extended fork of Prism Launcher, which descended from PolyMC and MultiMC.
Windows optimization: The release notes describe an optional setting that registers the instance's javaw.exe with Windows as a high-performance GPU app.
Performance settings: Optional performance features include automatically optimized JVM flags, automatic memory sizing, and game process priority.
Account privacy: Release notes describe per-instance account locking, proxies, language overrides, a Linkability Report, and stream-safe username masking.
Proxy behavior: For in-game server connection routing, the release notes say a proxy mod uses the FLAUNCHER_PROXY environment variable; the launcher routes the game's web traffic and hands off the proxy.
Downloads: The 12.0.4 release notes give a Windows installer filename and say installed MSVC copies from version 12.0.2 onward auto-update.
macOS build: The repository provides macOS build instructions that produce FLauncher.app.
