Expresso

What Expresso is
Expresso is a macOS text editor that puts calculations inside written documents. It can work out sales tax, profit, costs, and other expressions while you edit. When an expression changes, dependent expressions recalculate automatically. Results can be assigned to variables and reused elsewhere in the document or in new expressions. Calculations may appear in Rich Text documents, annotations, inline text, or tables. Named functions include sum, count, minimum, maximum, median, standard deviation, average, random, square root, logarithm, exponent, and trigonometric operations. Square brackets mark expressions by default, with an option for bracket-free expressions on separate lines. You can hide or show expressions, display only a variable and value, or remove highlighting. Documents can be saved as RTF or copied to the clipboard. Expresso is Mac-only and requires macOS 10.7 or later. A free plan is available; Expresso Pro Pack costs $0.99 per month.
