The record

Purpose: CV Generator is an open-source, privacy-first CV and resume builder with AI-powered optimization.
Tailoring: Its AI can tailor a CV to a job description by selecting relevant experience, emphasizing skills, and adjusting tone.
Editor: The structured editor supports personal information, experience, education, skills, projects, certifications, publications, volunteer work, awards, and other CV sections.
Import and export: Users can import and export CV data as JSON and upload a LinkedIn profile PDF to populate CV fields.
AI providers: The project lists Ollama, OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Google Gemini, Mistral, DeepSeek, and custom OpenAI-compatible APIs as AI providers.
Languages: AI generation supports 13 named output languages and an automatic language option.
Design options: The builder includes 18 templates, 14 color palettes plus a custom picker, and four layout modes.
PDF output: Users can print or export a CV to PDF through the browser print dialog, with output designed to match the preview.
Privacy: CV data stays in browser localStorage; Ollama processing stays on the user's machine, while cloud providers receive data only when the user explicitly generates.
Offline use: The app works offline after its first load, and its editor, templates, and export can be used without AI.
Storage limit: The storage manager reports an approximately 5 MB browser storage limit and supports inspecting, importing, and exporting stored data.
Deployment: The repository documents running the app locally and deploying it to Cloudflare Workers.
License and support: The project uses the MIT License, welcomes contributions, and directs vulnerability reports to the maintainer by email.
Maker: The GitHub profile identifies David Estévez as a mathematician and software developer and lists Miami, Florida.
