Citation[Z] creates citations and bibliographies from website URLs, DOIs, ISBNs, or source details entered by hand. It formats references in APA 7, MLA 9, Chicago, Harvard, and IEEE, and users can edit citation fields or switch a result between supported styles. Its bibliography builder alphabetizes references and exports Word documents with hanging indents and double spacing; TXT export is included in the free plan. A free account unlocks more than 10,000 styles, including Vancouver, AMA, ACS, Turabian, and CSE. The tool is available on the web and as a browser extension. When opened, the extension reads the active page’s URL, title, and DOI metadata; users may also choose to submit URLs from all open HTTP(S) tabs. The Free plan includes saved citations and projects, five styles, and bulk paste for up to five references. Premium costs $5/month or $50/year and raises bulk paste to 50 references, while adding Citation Finder, source recommendations, and paragraph analysis. Academic costs $20/year and requires a verified .edu or equivalent academic email.
