ChordCraft

What ChordCraft is

ChordCraft is a free web tool for generating chord progressions for producers and musicians. Choose from 10 genres—Pop, Lo-fi, Jazz, EDM, Rock, R&B, Ambient, Cinematic, Bossa Nova, and Hip-Hop—and eight moods, including Happy, Sad, Dark, Dreamy, Energetic, Chill, Epic, and Mysterious. The generator provides humanized playback with real instruments, and voice leading is listed as a feature.

After generating a progression, users can edit or lock chords and adjust the key, chord length, and voicing mode. Multiple sections can be combined into a full-piece arrangement. Saved progressions can be exported and imported, and progression exports are available as WAV, stems, or MIDI. The Free plan is listed as free and includes those export formats. It also has a daily limit on free generations, shown as free generations remaining today. ChordCraft is available on the web, with chord progression generation and audio playback listed among its capabilities.

Who it suits

ChordCraft suits producers and musicians who want to generate chord progressions by genre and mood, then refine chords and build arrangements. It may also fit users who want to export progressions as WAV, stems, or MIDI from a free web tool.

Limits

The Free plan limits how many generations remain available each day. It lists WAV, stems, and MIDI export.

Getting started

1. Visit the ChordCraft website.
2. Choose a genre and mood for a progression.
3. Adjust the key, chord length, or voicing mode, and edit or lock chords as needed.
4. Combine sections to build an arrangement.
5. Export the progression as WAV, stems, or MIDI, or export and import saved progressions.

Verdict

Pick ChordCraft if you want a free, web-based way to generate and shape progressions with playback, arrangement building, and audio or MIDI exports. Look elsewhere if you need more daily generations than the Free plan allows or need a platform other than web.
