What BiddingForGood is

BiddingForGood is FrontStream’s charity auction platform for schools, nonprofits, and corporations in the United States and Canada. Organizations can run virtual, in-person, or hybrid auctions and manage event tasks such as ticketing, seating charts, live streaming, mobile bidding, and text alerts. They can also create branded auction pages designed for smartphones, tablets, and desktop browsers, and open events to the BiddingForGood community, which FrontStream describes as having 4.4 million members.

A partner marketplace provides access to high-value consignment auction items with no upfront cost. For ticket purchases and donations, the new bidder interface supports credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Placing a bid requires bidders to log in and have a valid credit card on file. FrontStream says its payment processing is Level 1 PCI compliant. Support options include a help center, email and phone support, onboarding assistance, training resources, campaign page help, and onsite event support.

FrontStream lists Starter and Engage plans, but does not show their prices. Starter is listed as available by signing up and includes unlimited fundraising events, branded donation pages, and auction and gala event management. Engage is listed as talk to sales and adds donor, donation, pledge, and volunteer management, unlimited emails, and BiddingForGood advertising.

2. Choose Starter and sign up, or contact sales about Engage.
3. Create a branded auction page for your event.
4. Set up the event tools you need, such as ticketing, seating, streaming, or mobile bidding.
5. Invite bidders, who must log in and have a valid credit card on file to bid.

Verdict

Choose BiddingForGood if your organization in the United States or Canada needs auction management for virtual, in-person, or hybrid fundraising events. Look elsewhere if bidders cannot be required to log in and keep a valid credit card on file, or if you need a displayed plan price before contacting the provider.
