Its current Help page states a limit of 10 active streams per channel and three active streams per stream key; both limits apply at the same time. 1. Check whether you need separate streams or destinations
For different playlists running simultaneously, compare stream slots and channel connections. For one program sent to several endpoints, compare simultaneous destinations. YouTube’s limit of 10 active streams per channel is not a limit of 10 destinations for one stream; its separate limit of three active streams per stream key applies as well. Vendor destination limits are plan-specific and should be checked on the relevant current plan page.

2. Confirm continuous playout and media support
Ask whether the service can loop uploaded prerecorded files continuously, schedule changes, accept live inputs, or only distribute a live feed you provide. Upstream describes playlist-based 24/7 cloud playout; Castr describes scheduled uploaded videos, recordings, and live streams in a continuous channel. Restream and StreamYard’s cited guides cover channel or destination setup, not continuous prerecorded playout.
3. Verify channel connections and eligibility
For separate YouTube channels, confirm that each can be connected to its own slot or stream, and check permissions for the account that authorizes the connection. YouTube says channels must be verified and have live streaming enabled for simulstreaming, and accounts must be in good standing. 4. Consider where encoding and recovery happen
With a local encoder, your computer and internet connection must maintain the outgoing feed. YouTube also describes a cloud-encoder workflow: send one high-quality stream to a cloud service, which can distribute it to channels, resolutions, or platforms. YouTube limits and policy checks
YouTube’s Help page states 10 active streams per channel and three active streams per stream key, with both limits applying simultaneously. These are YouTube platform limits, not a promise that a third-party service includes that many slots or destinations. Vendor plan limits, account connection rules, and prices can change, so confirm them before committing.
