How to Schedule Recurring YouTube Streams with OneStream Live

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

To schedule recurring prerecorded YouTube streams in OneStream Live, create a prerecorded stream, choose its video and YouTube destination, set the stream details and schedule, then enable Repeat Stream. Choose how often it repeats, select Days or Weeks, enter the number of occurrences, and select Schedule Broadcast. The documented controls set a finite number of repeats; they do not establish an indefinite loop.

What you need before scheduling

  • A OneStream Live account with the intended YouTube channel connected and selected as a destination. To connect an account, open Social Platforms, add the account, and authorize it. See OneStream Live’s first-stream setup instructions.
  • A prerecorded video or webinar to broadcast. This workflow schedules uploaded or selected content; it is not a way to have a person or camera appear live.
  • A YouTube channel eligible to livestream. YouTube’s general guidance requires channel verification, no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and that the streamer be at least 16. These are YouTube requirements, not OneStream settings. Check YouTube’s current live-stream eligibility guidance.

OneStream Live says prerecorded streams can be scheduled up to 60 days ahead. Its separate advanced-scheduling guide says advanced scheduling is supported on Standard and higher-tier plans, but the recurrence guide does not specify which plan unlocks Repeat Stream. Check the controls available in your account rather than assuming the general plan note applies to recurrence. Sources: OneStream Live’s overview of ways to go live and its advanced scheduling guide.

Schedule a recurring stream in the web app

  1. Open Pre-recorded Stream. In OneStream Live, choose Pre-recorded Stream, then select Add Videos.
  2. Choose the content. Select a video from your device, OneStream Live Storage, or an available connected cloud-storage service such as Google Drive or Dropbox. Continue after adding the video.
  3. Select destinations. Choose the connected YouTube channel you want to broadcast to. Confirm the correct channel is selected before proceeding.
  4. Enter the stream details. Fill in the required broadcast information and choose whether to schedule it for now or a later date and time.
  5. Set the recurrence. Turn on Repeat Stream. Set Repeats Every to the frequency number, select Days or Weeks under Interval, and set Occurrence to the number of repeats.
  6. Submit the schedule. Select Schedule Broadcast. Review the scheduled item in your account and confirm its timing and destination.

For example, a setting of “every 1 week” with an occurrence count of 4 indicates weekly recurrence with a finite repeat count. The interface’s occurrence value controls how many repeats are scheduled; the cited instructions do not say the recurrence can continue forever. OneStream Live’s recurring streams and webinars instructions document this workflow.

Use the mobile app instead

The mobile workflow follows the same sequence: create a prerecorded stream, add content, select destinations, enter details, schedule it, configure Repeat Stream, then submit. The documented mobile content options also include recording with the camera or choosing a file from mobile storage. This remains a prerecorded scheduled broadcast after the recording is made; it does not turn the recurrence into a live camera session. Refer to the same OneStream Live recurrence guide for the app steps.

  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Plan the YouTube event and audience reminders

A recurring schedule in OneStream Live controls the repeated broadcast setup. YouTube has separate event and audience-facing behavior: scheduled streams can have a shareable URL, allow viewers to set reminders, and may appear as upcoming in subscribers’ feeds with a Notify me option. YouTube recommends sharing a stream link at least 48 hours before going live. Do not assume OneStream Live automatically promotes every occurrence; share and communicate the relevant YouTube event details yourself. See YouTube’s encoder stream scheduling guidance, live stream settings guidance, and promotion guidance.

Check monetization and archive behavior

Monetization

OneStream Live documents a YouTube-only monetization option in advanced prerecorded-stream settings, but ads are enabled only if the channel supports them. YouTube says livestream monetization is available to channels in the YouTube Partner Program. The setting does not override YouTube eligibility, and neither platform’s setting guarantees revenue. See the OneStream Live advanced scheduling guide and YouTube’s encoder guidance.

Archives and destination posts

YouTube says stream archives upload to the channel automatically by default. OneStream Live also documents an advanced option to delete a destination post after the stream ends. Before scheduling, check the current advanced settings and decide whether you want the YouTube archive and destination post retained. See YouTube’s live-stream promotion guidance and the OneStream Live advanced scheduling guide.

Troubleshoot a missing or unexpected recurrence

  • Repeat Stream is not available: Confirm you are creating a Pre-recorded Stream, not configuring a live encoder session. Check the plan features shown in your account; the recurrence guide does not identify a specific plan tier for this control.
  • The wrong channel is scheduled: Recheck the selected destination and connected account before submitting. If the channel is missing, reconnect it through Social Platforms and authorize the intended YouTube account.
  • The broadcast does not go live: Check the YouTube channel’s verification and live-stream restrictions, then confirm that the scheduled destination is the eligible channel. YouTube’s requirements can prevent streaming regardless of the recurrence settings.
  • The schedule ends sooner than expected: Review Repeats Every, Interval, and especially Occurrence. The documented flow sets a repeat count rather than promising an endless schedule.
  • Viewers cannot find or get reminders for an event: Check the YouTube event and its visibility, share the event URL, and allow time for promotion. YouTube recommends sharing at least 48 hours in advance; OneStream’s recurrence control is not a substitute for audience outreach.
  • An archive or post is missing: Review YouTube’s archive behavior and OneStream Live’s advanced option to delete a destination post after the broadcast. The result depends on the settings used for that stream.

Or let it run in the cloud

If your goal is to keep a prerecorded YouTube channel live continuously rather than schedule a finite set of recurring events, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos from the cloud, so nothing has to stay running at home. Your upload streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot; there are no quality tiers. StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. The monthly option is $9.99 per month. StreamNeo streams to YouTube only and plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a live camera. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
