Before you set up the stream
Check YouTube live-stream eligibility
In YouTube Studio, verify that live streaming is enabled for your channel and that it has no active restrictions. LiveReacting says first-time activation may take up to 24 hours, so confirm access before preparing a time-sensitive broadcast. YouTube’s interface and eligibility rules can change; check Studio for your channel’s current status.
Use media you are allowed to broadcast
Use videos, music, and visuals that you created, own, or have a license to livestream. For third-party material, check that the license covers livestream transmission and any replay or recording you intend to keep. The fact that a file can be uploaded does not establish that you have broadcast rights.
Choose one file or a playlist
A single-file loop is the simplest setup, but repeats the same material. A playlist can rotate several assets in a chosen order or shuffle them, but requires more prepared media and maintenance. Whichever format you choose, confirm looping is enabled before launch.

Set up a 24/7 YouTube stream in LiveReacting
- Create a project: In LiveReacting Studio, create a 24/7 template or start a project from scratch.
- Add your media: Upload video or audio files you have rights to use. LiveReacting’s product page says paid plans also support imports from supported YouTube, Google Drive, or Dropbox sources; verify current plan limits and supported imports before relying on them.
- Configure playback: For one asset, enable Loop. For multiple assets, add them to a playlist, set the order or shuffle option, and enable playlist looping. Preview the sequence so you know what will play and in what order.
- Connect YouTube: Authorize your YouTube channel or provide a YouTube stream key where appropriate. Treat the stream key like a password: do not share it publicly, and replace it if you believe it has been exposed.
- Set broadcast details: Enter a title and description. Choose a duration or manual stop. If scheduling, check the device time zone shown by LiveReacting and confirm the start time against YouTube’s current scheduling options.
- Review and launch: Check the playback start point and stream settings, then click Go Live or use the scheduled start. Open the YouTube watch page and confirm that the broadcast is live and playing as expected.
- Close your computer if desired: LiveReacting describes the broadcast as running from its cloud servers, so your computer need not remain on after setup. Keep the original media files separately if you need a dependable archive.
What to expect after launch
Cloud operation means the broadcast does not depend on your computer staying powered on or your home internet connection staying connected after setup. It still depends on the service and YouTube being available; the reviewed LiveReacting pages do not establish an independent uptime or reliability figure.
LiveReacting’s product page says YouTube publishes no maximum live-stream duration, but warns that streams longer than 12 hours may not be saved. That is a vendor-reported platform caveat, not a guarantee about whether a particular stream will be archived. Keep your source files rather than relying on YouTube’s replay as the only copy.

Copyright, repetition, and monetization
Rights to broadcast and eligibility for monetization are separate questions. A license may allow livestreaming but not necessarily replay distribution or monetization; check its terms. LiveReacting also flags repetitive or mass-produced programming as a monetization concern. Repeating a file technically is not the same as establishing that a channel meets YouTube’s current monetization policies. Review YouTube’s current policy and channel guidance before building a channel around repeated content.
If the stream does not start or continue
- You cannot go live: Recheck live-stream eligibility and active channel restrictions in YouTube Studio. If this is the channel’s first activation, allow for the up-to-24-hour lead time LiveReacting reports.
- Playback ends instead of looping: Return to the project and verify that Loop is enabled for the single file, or for the playlist itself if you are using multiple files.
- The wrong content or order plays: Review the playlist order or shuffle setting, confirm the intended files were added, and preview playback before restarting.
- YouTube does not receive the broadcast: Confirm the correct channel authorization or stream key is connected. If using a key, check that it is the one associated with the intended YouTube stream.
- The stream is scheduled for the wrong time: Check the device time zone used by LiveReacting and compare the scheduled time with YouTube Studio.
- A replay is missing or incomplete: YouTube may not save streams longer than 12 hours, according to LiveReacting’s product page. Retain your original files and do not treat the replay archive as your only source copy.
