To replay a completed YouTube gaming livestream continuously, open its replay and turn on the video’s loop or repeat control. On a computer, right-click the player and choose Loop; on Android, open Settings → Additional settings → Loop video. TV and console players use a Repeat control. The replay must be available first—YouTube does not guarantee that every livestream will be archived.
Loop one completed livestream replay
Once a finished livestream appears on the channel as a replay, YouTube treats it as a video for playback. Use the controls for the device you are watching on. Control names or placement may vary with the YouTube interface and device software.
On a computer
- Open the replay’s YouTube watch page.
- Right-click inside the video player.
- Select Loop. The video repeats continuously until you turn looping off or leave playback.
On Android
- Open the replay in the YouTube app.
- Tap the video, then tap Settings.
- Choose Additional settings, then Loop video.
On a TV or gaming console
- Start playing the replay.
- Press down on the TV remote or game controller to show the playback controls.
- Choose Repeat until the control indicates that the current video is repeating.
Loop several gaming livestream replays
If you want multiple VODs to play in sequence, put them in a YouTube playlist and loop the playlist rather than enabling repeat for just one video.
- Computer: Open a video in the playlist, expand the playlist box, and select its Loop control.
- Android: Use the loop control in the playlist control box. Selecting the control again can switch to repeating the current playlist video, indicated by a “1.”
- TV or console: Choose Repeat until the control indicates that the playlist is repeating, rather than only the currently playing video.
If the livestream replay is missing
A replay is not guaranteed to appear after every broadcast. YouTube says a channel may post a replay or highlights as videos; if there is no replay on the channel, the creator may not have saved or published an archive.

YouTube Help says it can automatically archive a livestream shorter than 12 hours, but this is not a guarantee for every stream. A stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. YouTube recommends that creators keep a local recording as a backup. Archive visibility and deletion can be managed in YouTube Studio under Content → Live. YouTube’s archive guidance has the details.
Looping is different from live DVR or Live Redirect
Looping applies to a completed replay video or playlist. Live DVR is for pausing and rewinding while a broadcast is still active; it does not make the eventual replay repeat. On very long streams, DVR may be limited or unavailable, and viewers cannot seek to a point before the broadcast began. YouTube’s DVR guidance explains those limits.

Creators can also use Live Redirect to send viewers to a Premiere or another livestream when a stream ends. That is an audience handoff, not a way to repeat the ended stream’s archive. See YouTube’s Live Redirect guidance.
