How the Livepush setup works
A continuous YouTube broadcast can be sent from an encoder on a computer, such as OBS, or from a cloud service that plays uploaded files. With a computer-based setup, the machine, power, internet connection, and encoder need to keep working. Livepush’s cloud playlist workflow moves that ongoing operation to its service. Livepush describes its cloud approach as more automated and reliable, but those are the provider’s claims, not independently tested guarantees.
Choose based on your priorities: a local encoder gives you direct control over encoding and hardware, while a cloud playlist avoids keeping your computer on and shifts the work to a subscription service. Compare recurring service costs with your own electricity, internet capacity, hardware, and maintenance. A cloud service still needs you to upload the files and configure the broadcast.
Check YouTube eligibility before you prepare the playlist
YouTube says a channel must be verified, have no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and be operated by someone at least 16 years old to livestream. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance. Livepush’s setup guide says first-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable livestreaming well before the planned launch rather than waiting until the playlist is ready: Livepush’s YouTube setup guide.

Choose a Livepush plan with a 24/7 schedule channel
Livepush’s current Help Center identifies the Creators plan as its least expensive social-streaming plan that includes a 24/7 schedule channel. The Help Center lists it at $39 per month or $32.50 per month when billed annually; its listed video storage is 20 GB. These are Livepush-listed plan details accessed October 3, 2026, and they can change, so confirm the current offer and feature list on Livepush’s pricing page before subscribing. Free and Pro do not list the 24/7 schedule channel in the Help Center plan comparison. See Livepush’s plan comparison.
Use the newer Help Center plan name, Creators. A Livepush guide published in June 2026 uses the older name Editors, so older articles may not match current plan naming. The setup here needs one YouTube destination; destination-count differences between Livepush pages do not affect these steps.

Prepare and upload videos
Livepush recommends MP4 files with H.264 video and AAC audio, 1920×1080 resolution at 30 FPS, and a constant bitrate around 4,000–6,000 Kbps. It also says 720p is acceptable for smaller channels. These are Livepush recommendations, not universal YouTube requirements; select a quality your source files and connection can support. Keep the combined uploads within the storage allowance on your plan.
- Sign in to Livepush and upload the prerecorded videos you want to broadcast.
- Wait for each file to finish processing before adding it to the playlist.
- Create a playlist and place the videos in the order you want them to play.
- Turn on Loop Playlist so playback starts over when it reaches the end.
Livepush says you can edit a playlist while it is running, with changes taking effect at a subsequent video transition. Avoid relying on an edit to interrupt the video currently playing. For its upload and playlist instructions, see Livepush’s prerecorded-video guide.

Connect your YouTube channel to Livepush
- In the Livepush dashboard, open Destinations and add YouTube.
- Authorize the Google/YouTube account that owns the channel. If prompted, choose the channel you intend to broadcast from.
- Select an existing live event or create a new one. Enter its title and description, then choose the appropriate privacy setting.
- Save the destination and enable it.
Livepush’s account-linked setup retrieves the RTMP settings through the authorized connection. Follow the prompts in the dashboard; the exact labels may change as Livepush updates its interface. The connection steps are documented in Livepush’s YouTube guide.
Launch the prerecorded event and verify the feed
- Create a new prerecorded event in Livepush.
- Select the playlist with looping enabled.
- Set the event’s start time and confirm the YouTube destination, event details, and privacy.
- Choose Go Live.
- Check the YouTube event to confirm that it is receiving the feed and is visible at the intended privacy level.
Livepush says it monitors connection issues and automatically restarts a dropped connection. Treat that as a provider-described feature, not a guarantee of uninterrupted service or a promised recovery time.

Understand the 12-hour archive limitation
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. A continuous 24/7 broadcast exceeds that duration, so do not assume that one uninterrupted stream will produce a complete replay. YouTube’s guidance is at YouTube’s encoder and live-stream archive instructions.
Livepush’s 24/7 guide says it creates a new stream session to continue beyond YouTube’s 12-hour limit. That is Livepush’s stated handling of the session boundary, not a YouTube guarantee or an independently verified test. If you need a replay, check the resulting stream archives in YouTube Studio rather than assuming every portion was saved.

Check rights and YouTube policy before looping content
Everything in a livestream must comply with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Use video, music, lectures, sermons, ambient footage, or event recordings that you own or are licensed to rebroadcast. Putting a file in a playlist or repeating it does not grant permission to use someone else’s work. YouTube’s policy requirements are covered in its live-streaming restrictions guidance.
Livepush gives examples such as music, ambient content, commentary, language lessons, and product demonstrations, but those examples are channel ideas—not permission to rebroadcast third-party material. YouTube Partner Program members can monetize live streams, according to YouTube’s encoder guidance; continuous streaming alone does not guarantee YPP entry, monetization eligibility, ad revenue, or watch-hour credit.
Common setup problems and fixes
- YouTube is unavailable as a live destination: verify the channel, check for a live-streaming restriction, and allow for first-time activation, which Livepush says may take up to 24 hours.
- A video will not upload or play as expected: check that processing has completed and compare the file with Livepush’s recommended MP4, H.264, and AAC formats. Confirm that your uploads fit within plan storage.
- The playlist stops instead of repeating: reopen the playlist settings and confirm Loop Playlist is enabled.
- The event does not appear as expected on YouTube: check that the correct channel was authorized, the intended event was selected, the destination is enabled, and the privacy setting is appropriate.
- The replay is incomplete: YouTube’s automatic archive rule applies to streams under 12 hours; a 24/7 stream crosses that boundary. Check YouTube Studio for the available recordings.
- The stream drops: Livepush describes automatic monitoring and restart, but no recovery time is established. Check the event and destination status in both Livepush and YouTube before deciding whether manual intervention is needed.
