For a prerecorded video loop that should run continuously on YouTube, StreamNeo is the most directly focused option in this comparison: it runs from the cloud, supports uploaded video up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. Dacast is a broader professional video platform; it may suit you better if you also need hosted video, access controls, monetization, or simulcasting. Gyre, YtLive Stream, and StreamAdda are other cloud-loop candidates. A computer and encoder remain an option, but then you operate the sending setup.
Prices and plan details below are provider-published information reviewed on 3 October 2026, not guaranteed checkout totals. StreamNeo publishes some comparison content used in this article, so its own claims and prices are identified as provider information.
Which Dacast alternative fits a nonstop YouTube stream?
Start with the material you plan to broadcast. For prerecorded videos in a loop, compare services that explicitly offer continuous prerecorded streaming. For a camera or live production, compare encoder ingest, delivery, access controls, redundancy, and monitoring instead. “24/7” in a product description is not by itself proof of a contractual uptime guarantee.
| Option | What the provider describes | Public price information relevant to India | Best fit and qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. StreamNeo | Cloud service for looping uploaded videos to YouTube using a YouTube stream key. Its listed features include automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. | StreamNeo lists per-slot pricing below. The comparison page says its plan details were updated 19 September 2026. | A focused choice for one or more YouTube loops where you want the sending computer out of the home setup. These are StreamNeo-published details, not independent reliability measurements. |
| 2. Gyre | Cloud streaming of prerecorded videos to YouTube and other destinations. Plans vary by simultaneous streams, storage, resolution, playlists, and scheduling. | Its public page lists USD plans, including $49 monthly for one HD stream on Start. Confirm currency and any India checkout treatment. | Consider it if multiple destinations, playlist tools, or scheduling matter; compare included storage and active streams as well as the entry price. |
| 3. YtLive Stream | Cloud broadcasting with playlist and loop organization, YouTube OAuth or generic RTMP setup, and plan-dependent features. | The page lists ₹499/month Starter with one active stream and a 720p limit; ₹999/month Pro with two active streams, 1080p, and automatic recovery failovers; and ₹1,999/month Business. | Compare channel and concurrent-stream limits, storage, output cap, and which features are included in the plan you select. Its “99.9% uptime” is a vendor statement, not an independent measurement. |
| 4. StreamAdda | Upload prerecorded videos, configure a YouTube stream key, and run a continuous loop. | The public page lists ₹49/day, ₹299/week, and ₹899/month options. Its monthly Business plan lists one slot, 4 GB storage, and 1080p output. | A budget-oriented candidate for a single loop; check the precise storage, resolution, and plan terms at purchase. |
| Dacast | RTMP/SRT encoder ingest, hosted live video and VOD, CDN delivery, saved live recordings, access controls, monetization, and simulcasting to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, X, or custom RTMP destinations. | The reviewed page describes tiered plans, but no reliable current India checkout total was available. | It is a broader professional video platform, rather than simply a low-cost prerecorded-loop host. Choose it when its hosting, distribution, or monetization capabilities are useful. |
| GoLiveIndia | Its product page lists prerecorded lives and cloud-running options, with published maximum live durations ranging from one hour to 24 hours. | The page displays monthly INR tiers. | A possible scheduled or shorter-run tool, but a listed 24-hour maximum does not establish an indefinitely continuous stream. |
| DIY computer and encoder | YouTube supports encoder-based livestreaming. Dacast lists OBS, Wirecast, and vMix as encoders that can be used with its service. | Total hardware and compute costs depend on the setup; no comparable complete India bill is established here. | Gives you control, while you remain responsible for the computer, internet connection, restarts, monitoring, and stream-key security. |

What to compare before choosing
Destinations and simultaneous streams
Count both the YouTube channels you need to serve and the number of streams that must be live at the same time. A plan may count slots, channels, or concurrent streams differently. If you need social simulcasting, a YouTube-focused service is not interchangeable with a platform that supports multiple destinations.
Capacity and workflow
Check storage, maximum resolution, playlists, scheduling, file-size limits, support, and whether recovery is included in your specific plan. Compare like with like: a low starting price for one HD stream is not equivalent to a plan with more simultaneous streams or scheduling tools.

Operational responsibility and reliability
A cloud loop removes your local computer from the continuous-send path, but you still upload the media, configure the destination, and handle account or content problems. With DIY, you also maintain the computer, connection, encoder, and restart/recovery process. No independent comparison here verifies uninterrupted uptime for these services. If a missed stream has material consequences, ask providers for contractual SLA terms, incident history, and details of how recovery works.
When Dacast is still the better fit
Dacast’s described feature set goes beyond keeping a prerecorded video looping on YouTube: it includes hosted live video and VOD, CDN delivery, access controls, monetization, and simulcasting. That breadth can matter to a professional workflow with several delivery or content-management needs. If your only requirement is to send an uploaded video loop continuously to YouTube, compare dedicated loop services on total plan capacity and responsibility rather than assuming a full video platform is necessary.

How a DIY encoder approach works
YouTube identifies encoder software or hardware as one way to stream, alongside webcam and mobile options. The steps below describe the general encoder workflow; exact menu labels depend on your encoder and YouTube Studio interface. See YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.
- Prepare media you have the rights to stream. For a loop, arrange the prerecorded material in the order you want it to play. YouTube’s copyright rules still apply to livestreams; a stream key or encoder does not grant rights to music, video, or other material.
- Open YouTube Studio and create a live stream. Follow YouTube’s current encoder workflow to configure the stream and obtain its stream key. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it with an untrusted service.
- Configure the encoder. Select the intended video source or playlist and use the video settings supported by your encoder and YouTube’s current guidance. Confirm the output settings before going live; there is no single bitrate or resolution appropriate to every source, connection, and encoder.
- Connect and start the stream. Enter the YouTube stream key in the encoder’s streaming destination, start sending, then check YouTube Studio’s preview and stream status before relying on the broadcast.
- Keep the sending system healthy. The computer and network must remain available while the encoder sends. Monitor the broadcast and have a way to restart it after power, internet, software, or YouTube-side interruptions. If the stream stops, check the encoder connection and YouTube Studio status before restarting.
For a continuous run, an encoder workflow also means protecting the stream key, keeping the source media available, and checking YouTube’s current live-stream requirements. Content eligibility and copyright problems cannot be fixed by changing encoders.
