IESCO scheduled temporary power interruptions on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4, 2026, for selected feeders in Islamabad, Attock and GSO circles. The reported shutdown windows are 6–9 a.m., 7 a.m.–2 p.m. or 8 a.m.–2 p.m., depending on the feeder. This is not a blanket outage across IESCO’s service area. Check IESCO’s current schedule or call 118 before relying on power being available; schedules may change.
The feeder details below were reported by the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) on October 2. Times are the local schedule times as printed by APP, which did not specify a timezone. Read APP’s report.

How to confirm whether your address is affected
IESCO feeder names do not necessarily identify every street or boundary clearly. If your plans depend on electricity, check the latest schedule for your area or call IESCO at 118, particularly if you are near a feeder boundary. IESCO also lists its maintenance and load-shedding schedules, the Power Smart and IESCO Smart apps, and SMS service at 8118 on its official homepage. Its press-release index provides dated notices; the schedule details above are from APP’s report, and the October 4 GSO feeder names are not specified there.
Why IESCO scheduled the interruptions
IESCO said the temporary shutdowns would support district development work, including flyover and underpass construction, road widening, installation of new 11kV feeders, and shifting poles and other power installations. APP attributed this explanation to IESCO, without naming an individual spokesperson. The published windows are planned times, not a guarantee that electricity will be restored precisely at the stated end time.
