What happened on the journey?
Hindustan Times reports that an Instagram user identified as dakshnmom was travelling from Bihar to Bengaluru with her two-year-old son on a two-night journey. She said she had packed a packet of oats and a small container for him, then went to the pantry in the evening and asked staff whether they could prepare the oats.
As she described it, the staff agreed and returned the food prepared in about five minutes. “I was so pleasantly surprised! They took my oats packet, prepared it for me, and within just five minutes, they handed it back to me, freshly made and ready for my little one,” she wrote, according to Hindustan Times. The reported time is her account, not an independently measured service time.

The post praised the staff as “so cooperative and welcoming.” She also wrote: “Sometimes, it’s these little gestures that make a long journey so much easier and memorable.” Her comments frame the experience as an unexpected act of help during a long trip.

Is preparing passenger-supplied food a regular railway service?
