What does “under $100” include?
It means a combined recurring subscription cost below $100 per month—not a plan that costs exactly $100, and not an annual plan’s effective monthly rate treated as though it were a month-to-month charge. Prices below are U.S. reference prices where stated; taxes, promotions, location, and checkout terms may affect what you pay.
The published figures are not a complete three-provider price comparison. In particular, without a verified U.S. Google AI Pro checkout price, it is not possible to confirm the total for ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini together from these prices alone.

How to decide whether all three fit your budget
- Check the prices for your country. Open each provider’s official plan and checkout pages, and note taxes, promotions, and currency. OpenAI’s quoted Go, Plus, and Pro figures are U.S. prices from its January 16, 2026 announcement, not a guarantee of current pricing elsewhere.
- Choose the plans you would actually use. Compare ChatGPT Go or Plus, Claude Pro, and the specific Google AI plan you want. Add the actual recurring checkout prices, not annual-plan monthly equivalents or introductory offers that will later expire.
- Keep annual billing separate. Claude Pro’s $200 annual charge is paid upfront. It averages $17 per month across the year, but it does not cost $17 when billed month to month.
- Compare the total with the strict ceiling. Subscribe to all three only if their recurring charges together are below $100 per month and the commitment fits your budget. If the verified total is $100 or more, it does not meet the title’s cap.
What are you paying for beyond the model?
ChatGPT
OpenAI describes Plus as providing broader model and tool access than the free plan. Its Help Center cautions that model availability and usage limits can vary. A ChatGPT Plus subscription does not include API usage: OpenAI bills API use separately. OpenAI says Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise remain ad-free in its January 16, 2026 announcement.
Claude
Anthropic lists Research, Claude Code, Projects, integrations, and more usage among Claude Pro’s features. Those bundled tools may matter if your work involves research, coding, or organizing ongoing projects; compare them with your own tasks rather than paying for the plan name alone.

Gemini and Google One
Google AI plans bundle Gemini access with Google One benefits, including storage and productivity-related features. That bundle may be more useful if you already rely on Google services. Google announced on January 27, 2026 that AI Plus had expanded to the United States and 34 other countries and territories; that rollout announcement is not a confirmation of today’s AI Pro price. Do paid AI plans have usage limits?
Yes. A paid subscription should not be assumed to provide unlimited use. OpenAI says model access and usage limits can vary. Google One Help says AI Pro and AI Ultra members who reach plan limits can purchase additional AI credits for more use; check the current terms for your plan before relying on extra usage. Claude’s Pro pricing page describes more usage than its free offering, but the value still depends on whether its allowances meet your workload.

Before subscribing, check the specific plan’s model access, usage limits or reset terms, and any paid extra-use options. Those details can matter as much as the headline price, especially if you expect to use an assistant heavily.

Keeping multiple subscriptions can make sense if you use their different tools or ecosystems enough to justify the combined bill. It is harder to justify if you mainly want to try each assistant or use one for occasional questions. Start with the plan that best fits your main task, then add another only when a specific feature or workflow is worth its verified monthly cost.
