But the advertised “up to 45% off” applies to selected devices and bundles as a group; Amazon does not say the Kindle bundle itself gets 45% off, or that every standalone Kindle will be discounted.
When is October Prime Day 2026?
Amazon calls its October sale Prime Big Deal Days. The event runs October 6–7, 2026; Amazon says US deals begin October 6 at 12:01 a.m. PDT. The company describes it as a 48-hour event spanning more than 35 categories, and says dates may vary by country. See Amazon’s event announcement for the official timing and participating markets.
Amazon says event deals require Prime membership. Its US early-deals article lists membership at $14.99 per month or $139 per year and says eligible customers may be able to start a free trial; check the current terms for your account. Which Kindle offers are confirmed?
Kindle Colorsoft Essentials Bundle
Amazon’s early-offers article names the Kindle Colorsoft Essentials Bundle among selected devices and bundles eligible for savings of up to 45%. That percentage is the maximum across the selected offers, not a stated discount for this Kindle bundle. Amazon’s page does not provide a standalone, model-by-model Kindle price cut. Check the listing to see the actual price and which items the bundle includes.

Standalone Kindles and other configurations
The bundle announcement does not establish a discount for a Kindle Colorsoft sold on its own, or for every Colorsoft configuration. Nor does it confirm a sale price for every Kindle model. Amazon’s early-offer page is the primary source for the named bundle, but its wording is not a promise that particular standalone devices will be discounted during the event.
What differs between the US and UK?
Kindle offers can vary by country storefront and generation. In an October 2, 2026 update, TechRadar reported that some previous-generation Kindles were discounted in the UK, while newly added UK models were listed at full price. The same report said no US Kindle discounts were visible at that time. Tom’s Guide also reported that previous-generation Kindles were on sale ahead of the event.

These are dated reports, not guarantees for October 6–7. A deal visible in the UK may not appear in the US, and a discount on an older generation does not establish a discount on a newer one. - Open the Amazon storefront for your country and search for the exact Kindle model and generation.
- Check whether the offer is for the e-reader alone or an Essentials bundle. Compare bundle contents as well as the displayed price.
- Read the listing’s current price, availability and membership terms. Offers and stock can change before and during the sale.
- Compare the listing with the same model on that same country storefront. Do not treat a deal on one generation, bundle or market as evidence of a matching discount elsewhere.
If you are shopping in the US, the October 2 TechRadar snapshot had not found a Kindle discount yet; in the UK, it had found some previous-generation discounts. Either situation could change before or during Prime Big Deal Days, so use the live local listing rather than the dated report to make a purchase decision.
